  1. I'm using the official Microsoft Dongle for the original Xbox One controller, a wired 360 controller and a bluetooth Dualshock 4 using DS4Windows as an X-input wrapper. I experience lag with either of these controller methods. And for every one of them, the input latency seems to spike much higher at random intervals. There are times when I'm scrolling through a game list, and BB will completely become unresponsive for 2-3 seconds. That's usually the worst case. But many other times control input will drop out for 1-2 seconds, or even a sub second. I have not tried bluetooth with the Xbox One S controller because all of my other input methods are using x-input in some fashion, so I don't think it is isolated to the physical input method. Also, I'm running Win10 on an MSI motherboard.
  2. I can confirm that my issue is strictly input related. Like @emudude, @ma22xx and @noiseordinance have previously stated, I can easily browse through BigBox with a keyboard and it performs as smooth as butter, but as soon as I used a wired or wireless x-input controller, the input latency is immediately noticeable. I don't have a direct-input controller to test, but I should have one soon to see if the issue follows. And the input response seems to be much worse after launching a game, closing it and returning to the BigBox menu.
  3. Yes, the Xbox One controllers use x-input. A lot of controllers do actually. There are some out there that actually allow you to switch between x-input and direct input. And just for reference, I have always used an Xbox One controller, so I don't think switching from a 360 pad would resolve the issue for you. I've also used a DualShock 4, but was also using an x-input wrapper and saw no change. I'm fairly certain I also tried a dualshock 4 as direct-input and still saw the lag. But it's been a while since I tinkered with the setup. I might try it again with a generic gamepad just to see if it actually changes.
  4. I have the same issue with BigBox as well. I've searched numerous topics and have tried several things to resolve the issue (clearing the cache, reducing image size, removing active file scanners, etc). I have launchbox configured on my system SSD and even performed a fresh install. I really like the front-end, but it's gotten to the point where I just don't use it because of the annoying lag when browsing through the platforms or games list. I have read of other people having a similar issue, but not any documented fixes or solutions of them actually resolving the problem. Maybe I'll see if I can find a non x-input controller and see if the issues remain. But I'd be curious if someone else has had this issue and could offer any suggestions.
