Thanks Guys! Im thinking about throwing that romset away.... like 30k games, 15k not working, 10k clones, the other games lots not working... its a mess... Im thinking about start hand picking Good Games, sadly its a loooooooooooooooot of work... but well.. someone has to do it, right? hahah

Hi guys, As i get more into mame roms i have more and more questions I'm downloading the split romset for MAME 0.189, and i realized it doesnt have the CHD files. In pleasure torrents, there's only one CHD package listed, but it says "Merged" this CHD package should work with my split romset? And another doubt is about the file "hapyfsh2.zip" that is on bot Romsets 0.189 Merged and Split. What is that file? it has 3.10GB and it doesnt list under Games, i'm a little confused, Googled it but didnt find anything about that. And Finally Any recommended Method to cleanup my Split Romset? i dont like having clones, botlegs and all the stuff, just want to have original games and that's all. Thanks in Advance!

Update... Changed Emulator to RetroArch with core fbalpha2012_libretro and game started normally from launchbox, the error must be coming from the comunication between LB and Mame. Wierd stuff O_O

i was searching for what is better, Non-Merged or Split, and found this post Where user SentaiBrad says its pretty much the same importing merged or split... i'm kinda confused now.... merged should work OK as i'm reading there.

Ill check if lb is trying to open the correct rom then, maybe being merged causes its opening a diferente file name.... but its unlikely since games are imported given the filenames

My biggest problem with Split sets it's all the duplicated files i dont care about the size of the romset, i think actually it's about 147gb or something like that, but it's annoying having to download so many room and then having to delete all clones and all that stuff.... Is there any way to filter the set and clean it? (I could do it on the torrent by deselecting all the games i dont want... but it will take hours! ahahaha) Sincerelly i prefer a merged set

I haven't tested ALL games cause is close to 3k xDD but yes just selected some random games, and they worked on LaunchBox AND MAME, but this particular game was one i've found not working from launchbox but works perfect from mame. I've downloaded a Merged Romset if it gives any additional info

Hi everyone! How's your day going? Hope you doing well Last Night i've downloaded the complete romset 0.189 from dome of pleasure, and from within MAME, all seem to be working perfectly, but with some games (Like 1945IIIK ) On Mame works perfectly, but when i launch it from Launchbox, it doesnt runs. (I'm using the roms from the directory they have been downloaded, didnt copied them when imported) Other games works perfectly. I'm Asuming there's some machine or bios missing? I've missed some configuration to point to that? (When i load this particular game from within mame, it says "Loading Machine X%" for some seconds and then starts the game) Thanks in Advance!

Hi Everyone, me again, with my noobs questions... hahahaha I've just found out about this amazing gift from heavens https://www.fightcade.com/ And i was wondering... it is possible to "pop up" a "Choise Emulator" before starting a game? Like one day i'm feeling like i want to play alone, and just run the game on mame, but other day i want to play online, so i chose to open with that emulator. (I'm thinking more like in bigbox mode, so i do not have all "widows" controls and right click menu) Cya! P/D: For those who didnt knew that emu, i hope you enjoy it!

Is there any website that list those systems? i want to download a complete romset for mame (i think 189 is out now) but i dont know if that romset will have newer sistems like as you said, sega model 2. If that's the case i would have to look for those, and i kind of like having the categories separated, Cave / CPS1 / CPS2 / CPS3 and so on. Consoles are much easier to group

Nice, Thank ill check it when i get back home from work. Is there any diference with all those systems? i was looking to Sega Model 2, and other, and i dont really understand how its all separated. Can all be emulated by mame or retroarch? i dont fully get if those "Classifications" are diferent platforms while "Mame romsets" are another one O_O

Hi Everyone!!! I've just discovered Launchbox this weekend, and fall in love with it! Being using hyperspin, and now seeing the easy use of launchbox i'm amazed, almost everything configures itself! Databases, Images, all. Amazing work!!! I've just had an idea and i dont really know how to get it done. maybe you can point me in the right direction? (Should i put generation as Plarforms? or as playlists?) I want to separate my playlists by Consoles Generation So i want to have like First Generation Console 1, Console 2, Console 3 With all his games inside But speaking of Arcades, how do you suggest i list them? i saw launchbox generates all the lists for like CPS, etc, But Naomi and that stuff? Im a little bit confuded, i've always used emulators and roms, but just learned a few weeks ago about the arcades subsystems, naomi, cps, taito, cave and all of those. Thanks in Advance!
