  1. Thanks for the info @faeran! Any tips on what mainstream themes exist that accomplish this? Probably not ready for the 'make my own' adventure right now.
  2. Hi All, Running Big Box configured to display on 'Screen 2' as my CRT screen is set to the MAIN MONITOR in Windows to ensure that Retroarch launches correctly... In doing so, Big Box launches with extremely small text - I've tried altering the scaling settings in WIndows for that monitor, but it doesn't really make a difference. If I launch Big Box to this screen when this screen is set the MAIN MONITOR in Windows, it works perfectly fine with the proper sized text. Anyone else running into this issue? Not sure what to do to make it readable when launching on the secondary screen. Thanks in advance!
  3. Thanks guys. I played with SAVE CORE OVERRIDES a bit more and thought I had it figured out, but no dice. It still randomly will do this without any good reason. I'm running all cores at 2560x224, except for PC Engine (2560x240) and PSX (2560x480). The issue again is that Retroarch launches without being in ' fullscreen mode' and shows a resolution of 2560x240, but it runs at 30fps until I go in and manually change the resolution to ANYTHING ELSE and then I can even put it back to 240p - it's the act of changing the resolution that fixes the issue and forces it into fullscreen mode at 60fps. The FPS counter even shows 60fps but it clearly is running in 30. So weird. I'll try to get a video of it happening.
  4. Running a dual monitor setup with a CRT - everything is configured correctly and working, but launching games directly from BigBox opens Retroarch in somewhat of a 'windowed' mode and the CRT doesn't flash and change resolution. It also leaves a small gap at the bottom of the screen almost like it's avoiding filling the space where the windows taskbar sits. Once this happens, I have to go into Video Output in Retroarch and manually switch the output resolution to force Retroarch to go full-screen and everything works at that point. If I don't do this, the games run in what appears to be almost 30-40fps, which is strange. If I use the OPEN RETROARCH command within BigBox, Retroarch launches properly every time and you can see the resolution and fullscreen mode change/activate and all is great. I'm wondering what is happening behind the scenes when directly launching a game in BigBox that allows Retroarch to not switch resolution and to leave that small gap where the taskbar sits. Any help/advice is appreciated!
  5. Per title, this has been an issue for sometime and I figured it would get sorted in a newer version of LB and/or RA, but it's still happening. I can successfully launch GB/GBA titles, but the screen remains blank and I can just hear audio. Inputs are registering as well, I just cannot see anything. This is ONLY happening for GB/GBA roms and launching them directly from within RA works perfectly fine. Anyone have a solution for this? Thanks!
  6. UPDATE - turns out this is an issue in Retroarch since 1.7.5 and for users of CRT SwitchRes only with the GB cores. I'm guessing there is no way to launch games without using the command-line for RA, right?
  7. Hi all, I did up a retro build with a CRT and everything but GameBoy and GameBoy Color are working. When I launch any of those titles from LaunchBox or BigBox the screen is black but the game is playing as I can hear the audio. Did some searching and found others with similar issues but they always seemed to do with not setting up the associated platform correctly or having a video shader interfering. I don't have any video shaders enabled and I've also confirmed it within my retroarch.cfg file. Any idea why Gambatte works from RA but black screens from LB and BB? Thanks! Mike
