  1. Oh well, tried updating RetroArch (made sure to download only the _retroarch & redist versions) - copied over my RetroArch folder (made sure to backup first) and tested a Dreamcast game... wouldn't even boot dreamcast games at all anymore, regardless of updating the Reicast core. New version of RetroArch also appears to have botched my shader set ups so I restored my entire RetroArch folder back to the original version and everything is fine again. Weird... may just go with using NullDC/Demul etc.. Thanks anyway Craig
  2. Good call... just updating RetroArch now and will redownload the core. I'll also delete the Reicast folder and emu.cfg file. I believe my BIOS files are in the right location 'system\dc' because I can actually load games Thanks a lot mate, I'll report back once I've updated and re-tested Cheers Craig
  3. Hmm.. I'm gonna try updating my instance of RetroArch now. Do you have a 'reicast' folder within your 'RetroArch\config\' directory... see below. I have a file in there called 'Reicast.cfg' - output below (this must have been autogenerated when core was downloaded) Do you mind checking yours to see if you have any other config/cfg files that potentially might have some pertinent settings in? thanks a lot bud Craig
  4. Thanks mate, I've tried deleting the core and redownloading the .dll file for that core - makes no difference and emulation is still way too fast/no sound. I'd already previously tried tweaking the core options, but no change. Hmm, I'm about ready to give up and use Demul or NullDC, but I prefer core options if possible so that I can use all the lovely overlays/shaders Do you mind me asking what version of RetroArch you're using? I'm still on 1.7.0 Cheers Craig
  5. Hi guys, I've downloaded the Reicast core, placed the 'DC' folder under 'SYSTEM' and ensured BIOS files are present. Can games running so that's fine, but there is no audio and games are running far too fast. I see there is an 'emu.cfg' file within the 'DC' folder and I've tried updating the 'LimitFPS' line to the following aica.LimitFPS=60 But this makes no difference and games still run far too fast Do you guys know a way around the above? I've tried googling, but no-one specifically mentions how to edit the emu.cfg file and/or where it's supposed to be placed for RetroArch to read it properly for the Reicast core Cheers guys Craig
  6. Yep, it only applies to Big Box... would be so useful to pin views in the main Desktop view. I'll suggest it as a feature!
  7. Thanks mate, but does this only apply to Big Box?
  8. Hi guys, Is it possible to used 'list view' for certain platforms, as opposed to 'Images view'? For platforms such as ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 etc, where there are thousands of games (and a distinct lack of available art), it makes more sense to me to have a 'list view... Just wondered if it's possible to have each platform 'view' configured separately so that I don't have to change it each time cheers guys Craig
  9. I'm having issues importing SEGA Megadrive roms. Clearly, the system is only configured for 'Genesis' and, as an example, when trying to import 'Thunder Force IV'... the import process looks to go through scanning for media/metadata and then simply ends by saying 0 roms imported. I ONLY have Sega Genesis set up... but I'm convinced not ALL games are importing and am just wondering what causes this behaviour? Surely, even if no game metadata/images exist in the cloud, the game should at least still be added? Edit: Just found out that this particular game was called Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar in the US.... Sure enough, that HAS been imported. Quick question? Are there any / many exclusives to the Megadrive vs Genesis... If so, how would one go about setting up a Megadrive platform for Megadrive-centric games? Confused
  10. I think I worked it out... Select all games > Tools > Download Metadata and Media Gonna give it a try now Edit: The gorgeous box art and videos for EmuMovies look so much better over the standard stuff.... there seems to be less 'gaps' in those games that don't show any images at all, too, when using EmuMovies cheers
  11. Hi guys, How easy is it to add EM media (as priority) to all of my 'previously' added systems? I can see how to do this for an individual game (right click > edit > download images)... but just wondered if there is a quick way to do it for an entire system at once. I don't know if bulk edit offers this.. ? Thanks a lot guys ras
  12. For anyone else facing this issue... my problem was down to my password! I could log into the forums fine with my password, but not via LB EmuMovies sync or the EmuMovies synch tool. I can only assume that the sync processes has some sort of limitation on overly complex/long passwords?! My previous password was 25 chars long... I reset it to 15 chars or so and can synch fine now
  13. Thanks Neil, I'll drop a post in the EmuMovies forums... perhaps they have a sticky or status alert on this issue. Cheers mate ras
  14. Hi all, New Launchbox premium user here. I cannot seem to get access to EmuMovies for my media? I've double and triple checked my credentials and can successfully sign into the EmuMovies website (where I'm a lifetime member), but each time I test the connection (via Options), LaunchBox tells me, "Unable to login to EmuMovies". I also get the same error when trying to import rom sets and I get to the EmuMovies media import section... Can anyone shed any light on what may be causing this? Thanks a lot guys - much appreciated ras
