  1. Hi all, Just recently got back into my arcade, and replaced my Ultimarc IPAC-2 with a Ultimate I/O. Did a fresh install of Launchbox and Retroarch. So far, I've got basic function going. The odd things that is happening for me so far is while using MAME for my arcade games ( tried MAME and MAME 2014 through Retroarch so far ) I press the 2nd player joystick 'down' ( default for the board is 'f' - which I've checked in notepad ), the response isn't correct - It doesn't move the on-screen character down, but shrinks the game screen to the upper left side of the screen with all the controls like 'file', etc. If I push down again, it expands the screen out again ( see image included ). All my other switches are working as expected. The only other thing I've noticed is when I start a game I'm getting the message: "100%: I-PAC Ultimate (53769/140) not configured." From what I've seen, 'f' is still player 2 down by default in MAME, so is Retroarch somehow interfering? Thanks very much for any insight you can grant - I appreciate it.
  2. OK, thank you - I didn't think it seemed right. I guess I'll start over on the MAME's - a vast majority wouldn't load properly either - would just shot 'initializing' and then drop back to the Launchbox, so something's wrong.
  3. Hi there, Totally new to Launchbox, but getting the hang of it. I've had great luck with things like Atari, Nintendo, etc and have now gotten around to Arcade games, and have tried both the MAME and the Retroarch methods of importing them to Launchbox. I found that the Retroarch method imported just plain too many ROMS for me ( as in, many gambling machines, etc ). I went back and did the import through the MAME emulator instead so that I would have access to the 'skip' section of the importaing procedure ( such as skip music games, etc ). After importing, I have just over 2000 games. My question is, is it normal that only about, say, 1 in 15 of these games has a cover image showing, or a proper name displayed for the game? I was suprised to find I didn't even have a 'recognized' copy of games such as 1942, etc, but only one showing a Japanese? cover for 1944. Is this normal behavior for the import? Thanks very much for reading and I appreciate any info, cheers! PS - I'm working with the 194 version of the MAME and ROMS.
