Want advice - universal controller management?

Hey all. Im trying to figure out it there is some program out there that can sit between launchbox and the various emulators to manage controller setups universally? Ive been googling but cant find anything. Would like to do this for when friends come around to play with all there own controllers. Is the easiest option to set up the controller configuration with each controller on each emulator separately?

Same here I used to config every emulator, for me I use Xbox one controller because I don't need driver for the controller. Also it's easy to set Xbox one controller as default for must of emulators.
