strigoimare Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Heya, First of all, this is a great piece of software, and has gotten me all giddy about organizing and cataloguing my Emulation collection. So, I installed Launchbox two days ago, added some emulators and some ROM libraries, all fine and dandy. Was playing some Blazing Lazers in the newly-installed Retroarch (was using Mednafen before), when I tried to load a savestate, and Retroarch locked up completely, and I lost the laptops keyboard (completely unresponsive, touchpad was still ok). After doing a hard reset, I tried to launch Launchbox again, and I`ve gotten the "Root element is missing" error message. No .xml in the Backup folder seemed to work. Any ideas, besides starting over? I attached the culprit here, if that`s any help. I`ll sleep on it before checking here later on, and maybe checking a couple .xmls myself. Thanks LaunchBoxcorrupt.xml Quote
OKAMI-aniki Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I'm having the same issue. I tried every backup on the list. What other options are there I wonder? Quote
strigoimare Posted October 10, 2016 Author Posted October 10, 2016 Did you also install Launchbox on Dropbox? I simply bit the bullet and reinstalled the program, and then added all my collection again. Time consuming, but that was the only 'solution' I managed to find. Quote
Heatley2001 Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 I'm having the same issue. But I don't want to keep having to uninstall and reinstall the program and then putting my roms back in. I thought there was a way to rename the backup file and it would make the program work again. But I'm drawing a blank and cant remember how. Quote
