Dr_Bunsen
ePSXe works fine stand alone, but opening a game in Launchbox results in * Error can't open sound handler. (try -nosound). I don't even get the PSX boot screen. Using command line parameters -nogui -slowboot -loadbin These command line parameters work fine from within a DOS window. ePSXe is set up with Pete's OpenGL2 GPU core 2.0.9 and ePSXe SPU core 2.0.0. I've searched this forum and someone else had the same problem back in 2016, but it wasn't fixed. Nabizzles
I ran into a similar problem. Go into your Video Plugin settings in ePSXe and make sure Threading Mode is set to 1-Thread (accurate). This fixed all my - sound handler errors. Don't know if it will help but give it a whirl. Apparently there's a bug in 2.0.5 that causes the sound handler error when you set the emulator to 2-Threads (faster).
