A fun BigBox Cabinet for a friend

Recommended Posts

This was a fun project that took far longer than it should have. Kind of hard balancing hobbies now with an 8month old!

Built this for a friend after he really liked my 2-player cabinet at home. I said if we are building another one, let’s make it 4-player! This project featured a lot of firsts for me. My first cabinet featured an X-Arcade for the joysticks and had just some ordinary plexiglass covering the monitor, two things I definitely didn’t want to do again. So, I fabricated a box covering the 32” TV inside of it and did some router work on it to make it look halfway decent. Made several mistakes along the way, plenty of things I would change, but overall he was happy with it and so was I.

Systems in LaunchBox: arcade, nes, snes, Nintendo 64, gb, gbc, gba, PlayStation, masterdrive, genesis, sega cd, 32x, game gear, and Dreamcast.

All console and handheld games controlled with Xbox controllers attached to the sides, all arcade games controlled with arcade panel.
