Playlist feature is great, but is this possible?

I'm new to Launchbox, but i'm loving the playlist feature, as it really does allow me to do exactly what i want in terms of compiling a section of every pro wrestling game ever made. The problem is many of these were on different platforms, and those versions differed from each other. Now which i know i can combine ROMs in each platform indiviudally to tidy up duplicates while retaining versions. Is there a way of doing similar within a playlist for different platform versions? i.e click the ROM in a playlist and be prompted with a version/platform select. Rather than having 3 entries for the same game. I assume if i combine them in the playlist, i'll actually be combining them elsewhere in the database. So, i have avoided doing that as it will screw up the platform sections badly.
