First Hardware Build - Futurama Project

I cut my teeth learning how to mod Arcade1up cabinets, so I wanted to try my hand at an arcade cabinet build. After pricing out cutting my own pieces, I went with a pedestal kit from GameRoomSolutions. I designed the art panels and started putting it all together.  Hardware is nearly done, I want to wire up the coin door to fully work and get the wii sensor bar setup for Wii games and for light guns.

Hardware:

  • Intel Core i7 7700k, 32gb RAM, GeForce 1050TI (plan to upgrade this to something that can support 1440p or 4k once the prices get more sane).
  • Ultimarc iPac4, 4x Sanwa Joysticks (2lb Springs), 1x 4-way Sanwa Joystick (Stock Springs), ultimarc spinner, and LED trackball, pinball buttons on the sides,  3 Front USB ports and 1 audio jack.

Been working on adding new platforms to my install, currently working my way through the European Computer sets.

Kids are having a lot of fun playing games, both at the cabinet and via the paired xbox one controllers - a must for modern systems and many PC games.
