Button Mapping

I just purchased some really great N64 and SNES controllers to use with my emulators. Problem is, when I plugged them in, the buttons were mapped kind of funky. I thought this would be an easy fix, but it turned out to be a real headache and has left me scratching my dumb head. I opened up the controller options but when I tried to remap the buttons it just made it worse. Is there an easy way to remap the controls? Ideally (and something I've seen before) I would like to see an option where the controller shape for that emulator, be it SNES or N64 or PlayStation, would pop up and run through the buttons and I can press the ones that correspond with the buttons displayed. I guess what I'm asking is: Is there an option like this that I'm not seeing?  Can anyone help me with this?

Hi @caligvla1 it's not totally clear if you're trying to map buttons for navigating through LB/BB or for actually playing your games on your emulators?

If you're trying to change button mapping for navigating through LB then in LB you would find that under Tools > Options > Game Controllers > Mappings

If you use BB you will find the BB version of these settings under Options > Controller Mappings

If you need to change buttons for when you're playing the games then you need to do that within the emulator itself. LB/BB is just a frontend that launches the emulators and games but it does not control how they work such as button remapping
