How to set different buttons to close active window for different controllers

Hi, I use BigBox as a part of a custom Arcade machine that's PC based. I have a fightstick setup connected via USB that registers as an Xbox controller to the front of the PC and another handheld controller connected via bluetooth. I have button 7 mapped on the fightstick to be close the current window; however, button 7 on the handheld controller is the left trigger. I'd like to have the close button be button 7 on the fightstick and have it be a combination of start and select on the handheld controller. The issue is regardless of which one I'm using the configuration seems to apply to both so the games will close whenever I press the left trigger on my handheld controller and it seems like I have to set it to one, the other or both but not one when using one controller and another when using another. Having both options be close won't work for me either since that would still make the trigger close the active window. I might be missing something obvious to setup independent control layouts but I'm a bit of a bigbox/LB noob :)
