Updating Mame but keep changed version of game

I religiously update Mame each month using the full romset importer. I have to change the default for a number of games every time. For example launching Pac-Man instead of Puck-Man (I have to point to Pac-Man.zip, rename as Pac-Man and change the clear logo.)  Is there a way of LB keeping the existing setting when I reimport?
