DennyDifferent
I'm running the m2emulator on my arcade cabinet (LCD monitor) and I'd like it to look as close to the original arcade as possible. It seems the output resolution for model 2 is 496x384. What I'd like to do is have the output resolution set to 1080p but keep the internal resolution original, like I can with MAME, but it doesn't seem like this is possible with m2emulator. Further, if I select a 4:3 resolution this ends up getting stretched to 16:9. I can't easily get to the monitor controls to change the output to 4:3 with it being inside the arcade cabinet. I notice if I set a custom resolution of 1920x1080 then the game is displayed correctly at 4:3 in the middle of the screen but the resolution is obviously MUCH higher than the original. I did try forcing the output resolution to low resolution 16:9 480p but the game didn't like that and closed immediately. It seems like this isn't something that's really possible with m2emulator, I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any hacks/workarounds that I could try to achieve this. I'd also like to try and find a way to add bezels/CRT shaders too but one thing at a time
DennyDifferent
If anyone's interested, I did a bit of research over the weekend and managed to achieve pretty much exactly what I wanted with ArcCabView. I'm still playing about with the settings but here's VF2 with an internal 496x384 resolution being scaled through ArcCabView (well, technically Reshade, I think) to 1080p with a bezel and CRT shader.
