Figured out I can just do a custom game details view and disable everything but Play and have my image show. The other thing I was attempting to get working was a pause theme. I ran into a couple issues with this: 1. Unless I disable suspend with GroovyMame, Big Box crashes. With suspend disabled pause themes work but unfortunately the stuttery audio from the emulator in the background isn't very elegant. 2. The big issue is with a 240p display, no matter what I seem to do my pause screen fills the display in seemingly random fashion. Copy pasting this view to startup themes or elsewhere works fine, it's limited entirely to pause themes.
