Startup Theme not changing from Default, only in BigBox

Title kind of explains everything. Having a strange issue where after choosing my startup screen, it stays as the default. The thing is this only happens in BigBox mode. If I turn on the option in normal desktop mode, it uses one of my installed startup themes.
