mrhyde Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Hi, I have just spent the last couple of mnths doing a full new update and install of all my emulators and game roms. All this was done on a pc monitor with no sound device connected to it. When I finally had things as I wanted I connected my PC to its home place via my LG G5 t.v. The probelm I am now getting is that anything using retroarch and M.A.M.E (downloaded and configured via Launchbox) is giving me serious sound and video stuttering. This does NOT happen when using emulators dependent of retroarch,, i.e xmeu for XBOX 'redream' for sega dreamcast or'xenia' for 360. I have also connected it back to my PC monitor and used a pair of bluetooth headphones and everything works fine. This I guess must be a retroarch issue but I have tried to find the source of the problem but have been unable. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.. Thank you Quote
Solution Buccaneer Posted March 2 Solution Posted March 2 (edited) As a guess I would say your PC monitor and your TV have differerent refresh rates. Settings-Video-Output, wait a few second until the "Estimated Screen Refresh Rate" stops getting higer and press return on it to take over the value as vertical refresh rate. Save and Restart Retroarch. As far as I know Retroarch uses this value also for sound calculations. Edited March 2 by Buccaneer Quote
mrhyde Posted March 2 Author Posted March 2 Doh! I feel so stupid that I never thought to check this . Thanks Buccaneer, sometimes its just the simplest of things I guess. I spent ages roaming through retroarch configs .... Quote
