retroviking Posted March 8 Posted March 8 (edited) So every time I launch BigBox, it crashes a few seconds after the platform videos start to play with no error message. I had a look at event viewer and its saying the failing module is the VLC codec libavcodec_plugin.dll, I've tried replacing it with another. Tried replacing the VLC files, tried a fresh install of Launchbox, restarted PC etc, all the usual trial and errors. I've also switched to the windows video player in BigBox video options, and that works fine. But its still crashing every time I launch it with the recommended VLC player selected. Can anyone help? Here's the error in Event viewer; Faulting application name: BigBox.exe, version: 13.20.0.0, time stamp: 0x67890000 Faulting module name: libavcodec_plugin.dll, version: 3.0.20.0, time stamp: 0xa6d0a6c8 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0000000000b08e91 Faulting process id: 0x36D0 Faulting application start time: 0x1DB907D50FB2D31 Faulting application path: F:\Launchbox\Core\BigBox.exe Faulting module path: F:\Launchbox\ThirdParty\VLC\x64\plugins\codec\libavcodec_plugin.dll Report Id: c241aedf-b119-450a-93ab-85dc4f8c5046 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Application: BigBox.exe CoreCLR Version: 9.0.225.6610 .NET Version: 9.0.2 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Currently this works for BigBox versions prior to 13.20. I Still get this issue with 13.20 regardless. The event viewer log only states, BigBox stopped responding to windows. So wont be updating until other more stable versions are released. Edited Sunday at 05:04 PM by retroviking Quote
