Issue starting a game Mame

Hey team I have imported a bunch of Mame arcade rims and they all import fine but when I go to play them in Launchbox they start to load and then goes back to the main screen, any help would be much appreciated.

run it from the command line first. That way u can see what error it gives. See link for how to do that.
Probably missing files in the zip, missing bioses, playing roms not compatible with your version of mame,etc

Roger that, is their a recommended rom set and Mame version for Launchbox?
