So I followed one of those guides, and everything went great but one problem, none of the games got sound and I have no idea how to change controller configurations,  any idea? Thank You.

Try this

About configuring controls....

Assuming you are testing the 'ARCADE' games in mame.

Start a game.

Press TAB

Choose 'Input Settings'

Now u can choose 2 ways to go.

Either u configure your controller for just the game you are running. Then u have to choose 'Input Assignments (this system)
Or u want to configure your controller for all mame games. Then u have to choose 'Input Assignments (general)

In either of these screens u can map keys to your controller. (so make sure before running mame that your controller is on)

If u want to change LEFT...then doubleclick that....and select the button or D-pad or any button on your controller to what u want to map the LEFT.
And so on for every key u want to map.

If u make an error...just go over the item again and press DELETE...this empties the mapping so u can start again.

Or u can try grabbing mine...and just place it in your MAME\CFG folder

This has all controllers configured.
