MaineBear Posted yesterday at 12:12 AM Posted yesterday at 12:12 AM The Genesis emulator I am using in Retroarch is Genesis Plus GX. The roms play fine for a bit and then they crash. It happens on all the Genesis roms. Not sure why. I have attached the log. launchretrogirl2562 Posted yesterday at 01:33 AM Posted yesterday at 01:33 AM have u checked your core information? Load Retroarch -> Load the Sega Genesis core -> Information -> Core Information Are all bios files present and confirmed? Quote
MaineBear Posted yesterday at 03:21 AM Author Posted yesterday at 03:21 AM Yes, all the bios are present. All the roms will work for about 5 minutes and then Retroarch closes. Is the Genesis Plus GX stable? There are several cores, I'm not sure of the difference between them. Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted yesterday at 03:32 AM Posted yesterday at 03:32 AM Should be stable yes. I also have the genesis plus GX for my sega Genesis games. Will try tomorrow and see if my games crash Quote
MaineBear Posted yesterday at 03:40 AM Author Posted yesterday at 03:40 AM Just tried the Blastem Core with the same result. Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted yesterday at 03:45 AM Posted yesterday at 03:45 AM maybe u can try fiddling with the video settings in retroarch for the genesis core? Like go through the available options. (Vulkan, openGL,...) see if it makes any difference. Quote
MaineBear Posted yesterday at 04:07 AM Author Posted yesterday at 04:07 AM Where are the settings? Quote
Solution launchretrogirl2562 Posted yesterday at 04:09 AM Solution Posted yesterday at 04:09 AM To change settings for a loaded core or game Press the menu hotkey (usually F1) to access the Quick Menu while a game is running. Go to Core Options to adjust settings specific to the loaded core. Common options include internal resolution, aspect ratio, and renderer. If you want to save these changes for the specific game, go to Quick Menu > Overrides and select Save Game Override to create a unique configuration file for that game. To save a setting for a specific core, go to Quick Menu > Overrides and select Save Core Overrides. For a specific game, you can also go to Quick Menu > Options and then scroll to Manage Core Options and select Save Game Configuration Quote
