CHNMusty Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Hi everyone, I’d like to ask whether it’s possible to view game ratings and sort them—similar to the ranking system on GameFAQs—directly on the LaunchBox Database website. Specifically, I’m looking for a way to see ratings across individual platforms (or even all platforms combined) and sort games accordingly, without having to import them into the LaunchBox client first. Is there any feature or workaround for this on the website itself? Thanks in advance! Quote
hermanjr Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago As far as I know, the LaunchBox Games Database website itself doesn’t currently have a built-in “top rated games” style view like GameFAQs where you can globally sort platforms by community rating directly in the browser. The ratings system definitely exists inside LaunchBox, and there are features for sorting/filtering by community star ratings in the client app. But on the public database website, the browsing/search tools seem more focused on metadata, genres, platforms, etc., rather than ranked rating lists. So unfortunately I don’t think there’s currently a direct website-only workaround for: “show highest rated SNES games”, “top rated games across all systems”, GameFAQs-style ranking pages without importing/syncing into the client first. that would be a really useful feature request for the database site itself. A lot of people would probably use LaunchBox more as a discovery tool if ratings were sortable publicly. Quote
