trueanimus Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Happened to me today, took forever to get it sorted, i actually thought that it had killed the motherboard. Saw the notification, selected install and restart.. install got to 30% and said restarting... then it just shut off. Would NOT turn on for more than a second. I ended up checking every wire, every drive and every connection and what appeared to be the problem was the USB screen i have using spacedesk as my 3rd screen for pinball tables. Disconnected that and finally got it up and running and reconnected the screen and so far, reboots and runs fine, but scared the living hell outta me. 1. I respect Microsoft... but i HATE they forced everyone to go to windows 11 because of the bugs. It seems every time that windows 11 or nvidia update lately, its a crapshoot as to if its going to kill my machine (I9 11th gen, 32G ram and about 60TB of storage on bvarious drives). 2. It also seems that its a USB driver problem or something with the spacedesk (and i only am posting this because i know plenty of people use an android device for a second or third screen) that seems to be the main culprit... or at least one that keeps hitting me among other things. 3. Thank you all for allowing me to post this here. I hope that if anyone has this problem that this somehow helps. Quote
