Nixx Posted June 30 Posted June 30 https://github.com/nixxou/Litebox Ok, so basically, it's a shot at rewriting launchbox to get something that use less ram. Should be compatible with most plugins as i tried to replicate the lb api. Also it will play fine with my extenddb plugin with a deeper integration. Obviously, you will not be able to add games with Litebox and lot of features from launchbox are missing, but it's a work in progress. It should support basic game launch, store game launch support, retroachievement. Poster/Image cache is using a feature taken from my ExtendDB plugin, so if you want decent perf, you should install Everything https://www.voidtools.com/downloads/ Before use, click on the "Generate image cache" button is hightly advised. I had a simmilar project in the past called Quickbox, but it was a launchbox plugin, this time my idea was to do stuff from scratch. Just just try, one click, you select your launchbox executable and it launch. There is an uninstall.bat alongside to remove it. LiteBox.exe Quote

Nixx Posted Sunday at 12:46 PM Author Posted Sunday at 12:46 PM (edited) I've put a fair bit of work into LiteBox since 0.7.6, so here's a rundown of what's new and what got fixed. Now, there is only one installer that works for both 13.28 and 13.27. The big stuff You can now install emulators straight from LiteBox. Add an emulator, hit Download, and it grabs it and sets it up for you (RetroArch, Dolphin, PCSX2, MAME, ScummVM, BigPEmu, Xemu), same as LaunchBox does. RetroAchievements works now. LiteBox logs you in automatically when you start a game, so your achievements count while you play. There's a Game Saves page to back up and restore your saves, per game. Edit Game lets you change a game's info, notes and custom fields, with multi-select and a revert button. The whole interface got a big pass: proper 4K / high-DPI scaling, a zoomable game list, custom colours, and a one-click installer. Plenty of stability and display fixes on top, including one that could quietly lose your edits. Version by version 0.8.3 Fixed a case where the game list (or grid) went blank. If you scrolled down a platform with lots of games and then clicked one with fewer, you'd see nothing. That's sorted now, the games always show. 0.8.2 Fixed a bad one: if a file couldn't be saved, your edits could get dropped without any warning. They're kept and retried now, never lost. Steam achievements sometimes only showed the first one. The full list shows now. Cleaned up garbled characters (dashes, arrows) in the debug console. 0.8.1 Added installing emulators from LiteBox (see above). Added automatic RetroAchievements login when you launch a game. Fixed a bug that could mess up some emulators' launch command. Works with the latest LaunchBox (13.28) now, as well as 13.27. 0.8.0 Better game list: smarter column sizing, a zoom for the middle list (bigger rows on two lines), Ctrl+A to select all, and column widths that stick. Custom colours and a matching Edit Game window. Titles now sort ignoring a leading "The" or "A" by default. Fixed a crash in the game list. 0.7.9 Added the Game Saves page (back up and restore saves). Big interface rework with proper 4K / high-DPI scaling. Added a one-click installer: just double click to drop LiteBox into LaunchBox. 0.7.8 Fixed a crash on startup. 0.7.7 Added the Edit Game window: edit a game's info, notes and custom fields, with multi-select, changed fields highlighted, and a revert button. Opens quicker too. Added LEDBlinky support for arcade lighting. LiteBox-Setup-0.8.3.exe Edited Sunday at 12:46 PM by Nixx Quote
