Hello! So I've been trying to play Metal Max Returns (SFC, english patched), but as I enter battles the screen always flashes white like 1 or 2 times each time the battle loading animation is played.

I checked if this is intended, but no, gameplay footage on YT has no screen flashing. Can you please help me with this?

Note: V-Sync is turned off. My monitor's refresh rate is 144 Hz.
