I got tired of manually creating marquee images for my 1920×360 LCD marquee screen, so I built a batch marquee generator web app: HAMM Pro.
These SEGA Saturn marquees were created using HAMM Pro along with artwork assets from LaunchBox. The app can generate hundreds of marquees in just seconds for virtually any marquee resolution or aspect ratio. If you want more control, you can fine-tune the results using built-in sliders and optional custom artwork.
I built HAMM Pro for people like myself who use LCD marquee screens and are tired of:
- low-resolution marquees
- stretched artwork
- missing marquees for large portions of their library
The workflow is intentionally simple. Upload artwork from your LaunchBox:
- “Clear Logo”
- “Box - Front”
- “Fanart - Background”
HAMM Pro automatically matches the images by filename and generates completed marquees using those same names. You can also preview each file one by one, and swap pieces (ex, if the logo is too dark, replace it with a light version of the logo, or change the background image). Once finished, just drop the generated files into your marquee folder and LaunchBox will automatically recognize them.
The goal was to make it easy to create consistent, high-quality marquees for an entire arcade library instead of building them one at a time. If it gets enough traction, I'll look into adding other features based on feedback. Thank you!
