Ok, so i made a parental control feature on litebox, my launchbox rewrite that sit alongside lb and focus on speed and less ram usage.
But, that does not make sense if kids can just use vanilla launchbox & bigbox and bypass it, so i had to prepare a plugin that also work on vanilla launchbox/bigbox.
Here come my parental control plugin.
It use the Bigbox pin code (if you don't have a premium licence, it's not big deal, you can configure it from the plugin itself)
Install is simple, click on the exe, you get that, select Launchbox, click install and you are done.
Select the launchbox.exe, click install and done. To uninstall you will need to use your bigbox pin.
A Data backup will be created on install.
The parental control unsintall disable automatic rom import, to make the whole thing work, i have to do some weird stuff and automatic import will probably crush all that (or not, i didn't bother to test actually)
As for how it work internaly : The plugin basically hook the xml read to filter out game, and reload the whole thing when you unlock. While locked it prevent write to the xml.
That block basic game edition, but adding, renaming stuff could still be an issue, so there is a second layer that also block all menu and window that allow editing, moving, deleting stuff
