Is anyone else having issues like this? You can see from the image that it works for a while then stops - not sure how to proceed. I've emptied my collection on the web side, changed my Gamertag, waited, still no change... weird. I haven't been able to update my collection for months. I have checked and added LB to my firewall rules but originally this worked without this addition.

Love it!!

All in or nothing, as my ex-wife used to say

Symlinks is definitely the way, without it my collection would be unmanageable.

Nice collection but you must have a lot of the same game like different version and different regions. Hard to think that there's that many different games.
That's my goal - collect everything, regardless of differences or imperfections. I hope to share my collection as an archive at the end of this so everything is preserved in perpetuity. Retro gaming needs to be preserved and I hope to help in that effort. There's no way I'll be able to play this many titles, and that isn't what I'm trying to achieve. This isn't a collection for me, ultimately.

Hello Mcfly.
thank you for your Informations.
Is it possible, that you give us a list with platforms and the used emulator?
Skinn0r
There isn't a way to pull this information from LB... sorry... plus, there's too many to go through and type out. You may be interested to know that there are several platforms that have no emulator as yet, these are collected and kept for future emulators should they become available. Honestly, Google gave me all the information I needed.

Watched your video on YouTube and using some of your videos etc. in my build. Do you have a folder you could share with the story files for the systems. I like the way you show the various details on your screen for the systems and playlists.
I pulled many of them from Wikipedia or old-computers.org. They all get pasted into 'notes' on each platform .xml file if you're looking for them.

Stalled at 99.9%!?!?!?
Just 2MB remaining... like half a second.
those last 2 files aren't needed.

OK thanks for the feedback.
BTW torrent is 14% and still shows no seeders...
It was only uploaded yesterday, my machine is offline right now due to a hardware crash... I would've thought that Archive.org would have a solid seed, guess not

Torrent is stalled in 3.4% with no seeders (!)...
Also have to say (positive criticism) that I am not fond at all of the "VMWare" umbrella choice. Would much prefer categories by OS or something. Why VMWare? Why not QEMU, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, whatever. VMWare doesn't identify much, really (it's not even the best choice any more).
But it is your decision, I am just commenting.
Keep it up, your tree is a good reference.
I went with VMWare as I was familiar with it from work, no other reason. It just seemed silly to me to have a few dozen platforms with 1 title so I bundled them all together. I may split them apart at some point, who knows.

I'm uploading all my current LB / BB videos to https://archive.org/details/mcfly_videos which should be complete later today. I've had several people ask me for individual videos for their collections so here they are. A lot of them were automatically downloaded through LB so they're not all different to some you already have, but there's maybe a few there you need. I've also added a few other videos to the mix that I use for startup videos and others...
They're not all great quality. If you have better ones and want to share with us all, feel free!

Awesome collection! Do you have a platform theme video for tic-80? I have not been able to find one.
I'm uploading all my videos right now to archive.org, it'll be ready at https://archive.org/details/mcfly_videos in an hour or 2.

It's always an interesting reference.
Categories you don't use any more?
Also two more "general" questions...
I wonder, launchbox doesn't need platforms.xml also updated? Adding extra platform (separate) xmls, "replaces" this?
Also parents.xml... doesn't that also need some work?
platforms.xml should update automatically when you add more platform xml files, you'll need to specify your emulators and such individually which will update parents.xml and more. As for categories I don't use anymore, I got rid of all my individual linux and windows operating system ,xml files and put them all into vmware. There may be some others I've removed but that's the main ones.

The latest update has a few more playlists - Motorola, Nokia, Psion, BANNED!, Leapster LeapPad
New Platforms - Psion 3a, Tiger LCD Games (replaces old Tiger), Commodore C64GS, Sanyo PHC 25, Sanyo PHC 70FD
BTW if you're interested in how I go about adding new platforms and playlists, this is a great resource - https://www.old-computers.com/museum/default.asp Clicking 'Show me a random System!' is a great rabbit-hole

@Mcfly. thanks again for all the work you've done.
A few questions please.Does your latest 2022 update "replace" older releases or updates them? (difference being if someone needs to delete the old or not)
I suspect at least "Platforms" get replaced.
I see 3DO is now Panasonic 3DO. So not replacing would need to a duplicate.
(btw the company WAS named 3DO and the hardware was build by 2-3 other companies like Panasonic, so I believe your original naming was correct, not the Panasonic one)I see no updated zips for Images (Platforms/Playlists/Categories). Plan to add those?
Videos are indeed huge, but would make a great torrent I believe (if you have them).
I just upload my newest versions, so if you're looking to update only, over-write the newer *.xml files. Yes, you are correct with 3DO but I just like Panasonic 3DO better, personal choice. Zips may follow, work is mental... as for a large torrent for videos, I'll look at archive .org, no promises tho.

Any chance of you posting your logos and videos for your list. I too have alot of these systems and would love to have your logos and videos to enhance my setup
Thank you, Starbuck,
I can't do videos as there's too many, but here's my platforms / clear logo folder. If there's something specific missing or you need, let me know and I'll see if I have something.

Wow that is some list, i cant imagine how long that took to curate. I probably haven't got a quarter of what you have and have spent more time on it than i'd like to say lol.
Thanks for posting it as it has gave me some ideas on more things i want to add. I was thinking about adding quiz's for a while as i already have MFME for fruit machines. Is your quiz setup just the quiz machines from Mame or is there something else?
Attached my Quiz Machines xml file.

Incredibly comprehensive, but I couldn't see the Oric 1 on your list. Is that covered by the Atmos?
Yes. Some I've bundled together, some I've split apart... depends on how I feel when I'm doing them
