Hi PCMasterRace,
My name is SoFMeRight and I have a feature request for you that I think we could all benefit from. I present to you this grand idea of streamer mode for LaunchBox or otherwise known in the release notes as a "nickname patch." Other gaming focused applications have a "Streamer Mode" where all identity sensitive info is removed from the screen EVERYWHERE until you turn the mode off. There are a lot of reasons why a person might not want their full *Legal Name* to be displayed at all times on their screen, but if you must know... I have a library of somewhere upwards of 900 games on steam alone (others all over the place) and I like to use the "Ctrl+Alt+Q" to select a random game sometimes when I am bored between games on stream. I am not a popular streamer, but I cringe at the idea that if I was I might dox myself via launching a game on stream and be faced with drama curtesy of LaunchBox.exe. I bought a Lifetime Licence today as it is on Black Friday sale and I was thinking I have used this software for years I should pay for a license now as a thank you. After doing so I relaunched and saw my *Full Legal Name* in the top of the launcher and I gagged. If someone from support wants to change my name to SoFMeRight and send me a new license XML that can be a temporary fix perhaps but I highly suggest at least in the payment portal offering a nickname, if you really must, make it generate a ticket to confirm their streaming handle was used. But seriously I think not adding something in the UI to mitigate this issue is a missed opportunity, please consider this idea.
Please help all my fellow streamers secure their IRL identity from their viewers.
Warm regards,
SoFMeRight
