  1. "A simple check box labeled something like “Hide blocked games while locked” would suffice to enable or disable the option" yes. this would be a very good implementation of both options. good point!
  2. although it's nice to have both I don't know if it's possible to implement or if it can easy and practical to use on bigbox in the way you described (I'm not an expert or even a programmer btw) but I think the best way to do it is like this: Hide = option in the launchbox (for naughty games :p) lock/ unlock = option in the bigbox (for gory games for example)
  3. yes. I personally prefer to lock/ unlock the games instead of hiding them.
  4. YEAH!!!!!!! YOU'RE SO COOL!!!!!!!!! It's exactly what I want/ need! it's boggling my mind how you do all this! Thank you so much sir. My new machine is waaay better than my old one, all thanks to you ? I wish all the best to you faeran and I'll always keep a close eye on your new masterpieces. your artwork is nothing but PERFECTION! ❤️ Respectfully.
  5. @faeran Hello Legend, I want to thank you again faeran for all the awesome help and support. and to be honest, I have one last request (I swear this is the last time to annoy you). And I don't know if it's even possible. but I do know if you can't do it, then no one can. Thanks to you, the selected/ highlighted games are now with this awesome border you did. My request is, is it even possible to do a 1 pixel border for the unselected/ unhighlighted games tiles? Just a plain 1 pixel border, so they also don't blend with the background. I did some research and found out a border with a gray color works best on light/ dark backgrounds and everything in between. the RGB values are: R=100 G=100 B=100/ color hex code is: #646464 (I just wanted to share my search results, I'm sure you know that and better than that ?) Here's a mock-up for a clarification. please help me one last time (I swear!) I mean if it's even possible to do this. since this will 100% complete my new arcade setup perfectly. PS: I didn't know how much creative you are until I saw your artwork. very impressive. really. Oh, also I'll totally understand if you don't have the time or the mood to do this. you already helped me a lot and I can't thank you enough for that. Thank you again faeran and best regards.
  6. Yeah! this is what I wished for long ago! what an incredible talent you have! I can't thank you enough for this! I hesitated to post about these issues. glad I did! seriously, best talented, awesome and helpful community/ mods on any other front-end out there hands down. Thank you again faeran for all the awesome help and support! You rock! ?
  7. Yes. this is what I wanted and it's worked like a charm! thank you so much! Since you're so awesome, is it ok if you make the same effect for the default theme games videos too? I always had/ have the problem of my games videos like trailers blending with the background because the lack of video border. if you can create a border, the video will not blend with the background and it will really pop up and looks so neat, especially if the border is the same as what you did to the games tiles. I hope I'm not asking for too much and thank you again.
  8. Hello. first post here and I'm 100% total noob when it comes to coding... etc.... and I'll try to make this as direct and clear as possible to everyone. so please bear with me. - With big box old versions (7 and newer up to 9 maybe) I used to make a copy of the default theme folder and then copy the file "BoxListBoxItemStyle.xaml" from (NoshOnThis 1.0.3) big box theme to its "Styles" folder and replace same file there to have this nice glow border around the game tiles instead of the default one (I like the default theme for its performance and because it's not gaudy, but I wanted this effect, so after some experiments I found the responsible file for that from NoshOnThis 1.0.3 and everything was fine) so I backed up this file. - I built a new PC arcade cabinet recently and downloaded and installed latest bigbox version 11.11 and when I wanted to copy the file to the default theme, I couldn't find the "Styles" folder inside the default theme. So I created one and copied the file to it but the glow effect didn't show up. - after some searching here I found that the "Styles" folder are no longer present on latest version and some of these effects are migrated to the "Views" folder files instead. so I started tinker with them to find which file can create the same effect. after some experiments I guess the file that can create this effect is "BoxListView.xaml" maybe? Unfortunately, no matter what I do, I can't get this effect back and I really miss it since almost all the newest themes here lack it. - Through my searching for a solution and learning what's going on with latest theme changes I really liked how much the moderators and the community here are nice and helpful, so I decided to pull the trigger and post about this issue here. So please if anyone can help me get this effect back for the latest 11.11 "Views" theme folder I'll appreciate that. - Further information: I use a copy of the latest 11.11 default theme/ Platform Wheel 1/ Horizontal Boxes with Details. here's a screenshot for clearer description:
