  1. Guys I want to thank all of you for all your help getting this stage of the project complete. I have cut it down to 800 games that I think are the best games available on Mame all with brilliant marquees! You guys are awesome for answering the questions of new people like me! Now onto trying to make my control panels work. I have 3 different panels. A twin 6 button panel for 2 on 2 fighting. A roller ball and rotary for centipede and tempest type games. And a control panel for twin stick and other 4 way joystick games. Have to figure out how to program these for each type of game, is there a suggestion on how to do this for similar games? Currently I only have Mame and now want to add a section for Dreamcast, is there list where I can see what Launchbox supports as far as systems and emulators? Again THANK YOU!!!
  2. OMG THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *FAINTS How do I export the audit to a document? doesn't seem to have an option to do that.
  3. I looked at the image, if it was for 3 count bout for neo geo I simply named the file 3 COUNT BOUT. Simple. I though the roms would be named the same, but they aren't. I don't know what you mean by audit. How would I audit 1300+ roms? Is there a batch script online to do that? No offense but being in the noob section I have no idea how to "audit" "batch" or anything. I'm literally just making images and calling them what they are. I guess I'll have to load each rom separately into another instance of mame to see which is which? There four different versions of 1943 and they are only differentiated by letters. I named my graphics files the actual name of the game. Can I rename the roms, would that break them? Ugh sorry guys, just very frustrated right now. edit: I'm also noticing that some games have multiple roms for the same game but with different letter designations. Can I delete the others and keep one? So confused. Thanks
  4. WOW I didn't think it would be this difficult to replace these marquee images. I'm trying to match my marquees I edited in photoshop and the naming convention of these marquees is horrid. So matching 1400 marquees to obscurely named roms is proving to be much more difficult than I hoped. I may just grab an image, do an internet search for the ROM and do it that way. See you in 3 years. LOL Does anyone know of a good way to find out what a game rom is named? For instance something like VirtuaRacing I would think would be VRcing or VRing. No, it's like VV0875 or something like that. SMH.
  5. Does anyone know if the marquee images need to be names the same exact name as the Roms?
  6. OK thanks, being a noob, how do I do that? Do I uninstall and reinstall? Also, do the images need named exactly as the ROMs?
  7. Hi, I have remade all my marquees in photoshop and have put them in the \\Launchbox\Images\Arcade\Arcade marquee folder where all the old default marquees where. But when I launch BigBox, it's still using my old marquees and doesn't see my new ones. So basically A. Where do the marquee images go so that when I'm navigating the wheel they show up on the marquee, and when I select the game they stay on the marquee B. What is the naming convention that ties the marquee to the game? Even after moving the old marquee's to another folder for safe keeping the games are using the old marquee's, even though they're no longer in \\Launchbox\images\Arcade\Arcade marquee Any help is appreciated.
  8. Hi everyone, I've spent almost a year working on getting this Big Box setup, resizing images to fit my marquee, trial and error, and all I need now is when I launch games they display on my marquee instead of the main screen. And they go into the rom testing and then I don't know what happens because my main screen is black and my game is on the second screen, but only the top portion. Can anyone help me get this so when I go into a game it shows on my main monitor? Thanks!
  9. I'm also looking for someone, all this can be done remotely via team viewer which is free. I had someone setup my VirtuaPin Pinball machine like this. We were on a phone call and he did most it remotely and then anything he needed me to do physically he walked me through it over our phone call. this would be an opportunity for someone to make some money and help the community. As an old man I'm totally lost but have gotten most of my marquee images where they're supposed to be through sheer determination. But as I don't have the same energy as you young bucks and have had heart surgery realize that there are old school arcade dwellers who are just looking for a helping hand.
