It may just be emulation quality of those games, 3DS emulation is still very much a work in progress and many games are hit and miss on how well they work, the emulator also requires a fairly good CPU to run smoothly.
I do have a solid computer, so I'm sure that's fine. I do believe it's behind the emulation. Do I have to manually update the cores or RetroArch in the future to see if there are improvements or is this done automatically if I open RetroArch now and then?

Hi all, Recently I got Nintendo 3DS to work with RetroArch (Citra Core). Followed all the instruction online through a video tutorial and everything went smoothly. Upon launching some games (4 in total to test it out), they all exhibited different levels of audio choppiness, that would also create choppiness with the video. Has anyone experienced this and if so, whats the work around please? I have other system running with RetroArch through LaunchBox and they all work well. Thanks!

Hi,
In this page http://neogeocdworld.info/html/jeux/jeux/differences.htm you can see the diference between some NeoGeo AES/MVS and NeoGeo CD. The page is in french, but you can translate with google (I do this, i don't understand french).
Here http://neogeocdworld.info/html/jeux/jeux/bonus.htm you can see the bonus itens that NeoGeo CD games have, french too.
All good, thank you very much! I actually speak French, so that works perfectly!!

Both RA and Mame. I just recently set it up with Mame as I started messing with Mame Software lists.
Thanks i will give it try!! Does RA require any special text in the command line?

Can I ask what you guys are using for an emulator when it comes to NeoGeo CD. Currently I am using RetroArch for the standard NeoGeo. Not too many video tutorials out there on the Cd version. Thanks!

According to the Wikipedia, there are a few exclusives for the NeoGeo CD as well:
Great to know, thanks for the update

The NeoGeo CD files are huge comparative to the NeoGeo standard files. I figured the video rendering must be better? Somethings got to give! LOL!!

Hi all,
Quick question. I already have a library of NeoGeo games setup in Launchbox. Most of them work great, so I'm happy with that. Have some that won't start, but then again, such is life.
Is it worth getting the NeoGeo CD titles, as they seem to be the same games, more or less. Is there an advantage to gaming quality or anything else.
Thank you!

You need both files, but Launchbox only needs the .cue file imported. The .cue tells the emulator what other files there are.
Hey, thank you very much for that, it works great. I have one follow up question. Although I have set up my XBOX One controller in Mednafen, it seems to lose it settings, every time i exit out of Launchbox, forcing me to bind the controller each time. Any suggestions? As well, doesn't seem to recognize my 8bitdo SN30pro controller, wired or wireless. Any thoughts?

Just import the cue files, problem solved.
When i was looking at ETA Primes step by step video, it indicates that you need both .bin and .cue files for the game to work. There's a work around? Thanks!

Can't tell you where to get roms, but chdman from MAME can turn multiple bin files into a single chd file. Works great for emulators that support it. (Retroarch Beetle Saturn core for example)
Thanks! I use the Mednafen emulator...works with that?

Hello, Does anyone know where you can download Saturn games from, in single .bin and .cue file formats. I had good luck with replayers.org, however they're library is very limited. All the other sites were either formats that showed a single.cue file with multiple .bins, which made an absolute mess in Launchbox. Other were super slow to download and then they were in .mds and .mdf files. Any suggestions or leads would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi All, I have Launchbox/Big Box. I recently added a bunch of N64 games as per the setup from ETA Prime. Man he makes it easy! Here is the URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p90axkCr3Gk&list=WL&index=2&t=0s
I'm having issues with my wireless controllers both XBOX One and 8bitDo Sn30pro. During the setup, ETA Prime uses a wired remote. I played with every possible setting in the controller setup page and it doesn't want to know anything, Project64 doesn't see the controllers. FYI...both controllers work flawlessly with RetroArch and ReDream. When I wire up my 8bitDo SN30pro through a USB cable, there is no problem...I can program the buttons and away I go but I was hoping to go wireless.
Any recommendations, I don't care if i need to buy another wireless remote that will talk with Project64.
As well, I have had excellent success with RetroArch...anyone using this emulator for N64?
As always, many thanks!

Not sure never tried it that way, I think I will reinstall launchbox and see where it goes from there.

I know when I originally installed NES and superNES it all worked well.

Hey thanks for all the help...may I ask where or what exactly is the name of this core? Sorry man...I know through Launchbox, I usually install it well. I'm just not really strong on all these terminologies
