  1. Hello. I've found that when I add more roms to a folder (such as "arcade"), when it searches it also finds the rom files I already have in the folder. Then, when the import is done I end up with duplicate game titles in my arcade list. I will note that "Force Import Duplicate Games that Already Exist in Your Collection" is turned OFF. Even with it off, it's still re-adding any roms I've already imported. Thanks for any advice to fix, or if this is a bug, just let me know. I'm testing all this on my NVidia Shield TV, model P2897, Version 9. Otherwise great to have this for Android again!
  2. Thanks. Yeah I tried it three times with a fresh .xml. Checked and doublechecked after replacing the text. There were still other instances of "(web version)" left over in the xml (not with the .url part), so I wondered if that might have something to do with it. But it worked for you so who knows. Maybe in a future update you could include an extra .xml with the changes done (calling it something like "magazines.localvbs"), so someone could just rename the current one to ".old" and name "magazines.localvbs" to "magazines.xml".
  3. Thank you for the advice. I used Notepad++ to made those changes (not forgetting the space before " (web version).url", which worked successfully. I checked and double-checked the new .xml and everything was updated to the .vbs. Unfortunately in LB the launch link is still the URL. For some reason even though the .xml has been updated, LB still wants to point to the .url. I am going to just fix the link for each magazine manually one by one in LB, which I know will solve the problem. No big deal. A small amount of time to take compared to the 1000's of hours you've clearly spent setting this up. And I actually just finished. Took about 10min.
  4. This is truly amazing what you've done. Thank you for sharing all your hard work. I've got this working very well on my W10 PC. Although I have Launchbox running, I've kept this separate to make it easy to run on its own. So great to play Jumpman again. I added your Jumpman Jr file as well. I have a couple questions on the magazine part. I've downloaded your full zip file of the magazines. 1. In LB, I can see that for each magazine it's pointing to the .url link you've set up. I can see the .bat and .vbs there. Looks like they call up the actual magazine file (if it's there). If I put the magazine files in the same folder structure, how do I tell LB to launch the vbs instead of the url? 2. I am running C64 Dreams off my C drive. I'd like to put the magazine files on my D drive. Can you instruct me how to fix the launch links to each magazine in LB? Thank you for the help. Again, and thanks for sharing this. I'm already making my own LB playlist of my favorites!
  5. If it helps anyone, I solved this by changing my retroarch.cfg to "retroarch.old". Relaunching RetroArch made a new clean cfg and all the problems went away.
  6. I'm starting to configure PS1 games, using the RetroArch "mednafen_psx_libretro.dll" (also called "Beetle"). Works great. Having problems with the HW version (using GPU) but that's a post for another time. If I use the bin/cue file format for the rom, everything works fine. I then downloaded and tried PSX2PSP to compress the bin file down to a much smaller .pbp (eboot) file. Saves a lot of file space, and I've read this is a great way to combine multiple discs into one file. Tested a game in the emulator. Works great...except every time I hit a button on my controller, an onscreen message in the lower left corner pops up and says "Virtual CD Drive Tray Closed". It fades out and comes right back the second I hit any button during the game. I have googled this problem. There are a few results from other forums where people have the same problem, but no solutions. Clearly this is related to compressing the bin to the pbp file. I really want to use the compression because it will save a lot of disc space. Anyone else had this problem?
  7. Hello. I'm a Noob who has learned a lot about Launchbox and RetroArch over the last week, but I have much more to learn. Bought a Launchbox full license and really love using it. I've tried this with different MAME emulators (fbneo / MAME 2016 / MAME 2013) and have the same problem with both. First, I connect my two different XBox One controllers wirelessly to my Windows 10 PC through the official Microsoft wireless adapter. When launching RetroArch, I get the message that Controller #1 and Controller #2 are found. Then, I launch a MAME game (Pacman) within RetroArch using the fbneo core. I can select credits with the "select" button from controller #1. After giving two credits, I have to use the "start" button from controller #2 to start a 2-player game. This works fine. But then, both player 1 and 2 are always controlled with the left thumbstick from controller #1 only. I have tried remapping both controllers in RetroArch, but the same problem is always there. Cannot get the thumbstick from controller #2 to work for player 2. Would appreciate any advice on how I can troubleshoot this problem. I've been working on solving it for a few days, and even after countless google searches (and searching the Launchbox forums) I have not found a solution. The same problem is there if I launch the game directly from Launchbox. As I've been working on this problem, I launch a lot directly from RetroArch just to save a few steps during constant testing. Thank you!
