  1. I'm A little confused about taito type x games. Do I need a loader or are they stand alone? Do i need a loader for some but not others? If some require a loader can I use the same loader for all of them? Which loader is best? Do I set everything up in lb like teknoparrot for example? Thanks for any answers.
  2. For anyone else out there trying to figure this out this is how I got it to work. I had to go into usb plugin, guncon 1 config, acquire, and selected no for gamepad as guncon. I clicked using my mouse and then it says something along the lines of device ready. I launched the game then used my mouse to get me through the calibration screen and then hit f1 to create a save state. then I went back into the settings and did the same thing but with the light gun instead of mouse. launched the game again and hit f3 and then skipped the calibration all together. The gun is actually pretty accurate but could be better. I'm going to keep trying to get it where I want it but its playable as is.
  3. Okay I'll try that to see if it fixes it. If its just a faulty cable that would be great. I'm using a vizio v series 4k tv that runs at 60hz and has hdr as my monitor. I went into mame menu and change video from auto to open gl and that fixed the brightness problem. I realized this morning that the brightness issue I was having was only in the mame games so maybe it switched settings around on me for some reason. I also got 3840x2160 to fill the screen now but I had to set it in nividia settings then windows. it was already set that way but I basically reset it the same as it was then it corrected. Can the display changing windows sizes/resolution have something to do with different emulators running in different resolutions and the software is imperfect and resolution not correcting properly? sm2,sm3,teknoparrot individual games and my pc are all different resolutions and then gun4ir has to be set to correct aspect ratio for the emulator so there's a lot going on there.
  4. I updated my gtx 1650 driver and it didn't change anything. I also had windows check the gpu and it said it was working properly. Its basically brand new all I've been doing for a couple months since I bought it was test games no more than 5 minutes of play and the most demanding thing I've played are teknoparrot. I adjusted the resolution to 3840x2160 in the nividia app and that changed it and it fit the screen but not when I did it in windows.? Its still darker than it was and doesn't look as sharp/crisp as it did. It seems like my gpu isn't working correctly but I don't know much about this stuff

Hey, not really sure where to post this but I've had lb/bb crash when closing out sm2 and sm3 and I get a pink line down my screen and the display doubles and over laps itself so I'll log out (which isnt easy because I can barely see) and then log back in and its fixed usually. This last time the screen appears darker generally but also in my games noticeably. I also updated windows so that could have something to do with it. My hz also automatically went from 60 to 30 while using bb switching between hotd4 and time crisis. Hotd4 ran good then time crisis would barely run. All of a sudden 3840x2160 wont go fullscreen I have to have it on 4096x2160 for the display to fit the screen? Also most of the time I exit out of any emulator in lb it changes all my folder/windows sizes including lb. lb goes from full screen to a random size. I'm not sure if this is a windows issue and emulator issue or a lb/bb issue but hopefully someone has then fix for me. Also worth mentioning that I've been testing these games for days and just starting to get everything running like I wanted then this happened
  6. Yea I'm definitely learning that haha. My next goal is to get dolphin to recognize my guns separately. I the games running off ahk and working great one player but both 1 & 2 player gun control the same reticle for some reason. I changed the wiimote ini from aimtrack to my gun4ir id and but I must be missing something.
  7. So I'm running into some issues. Luigi's mansion the emulator doesn't fit my screen. its a lot bigger than it should be. silent hill arcade is the same way and it won't load past the checklist/ gun calibration ( all I did was load the game). Lets go island and lets go jungle special don't recognize my guns ( set up in demulshooter like hotd4 which runs almost perfect). hotd4 is close to perfect but the gun shaking feature doesn't work. Any fixes would be great. I used the same ahk for all and just input the correct info for it to work. all games set to dinput. generally I set them all up the same and don't get why they wont all work the same. Rambo and hotd4 are the only ones playable out of the above mentioned
  8. For anyone else wondering there is in game gun calibration for hotd on sm2. f2 to get to ingame menu. That fixed my accuracy problem

I'm trying to set up ahk for teknoparrot roms and was wondering if there is any websites or threads on here that have the info per game needed to make the ahk for that game. for example I got hotd4 working and trying to use that ahk as a guide to lets go jungle sp but it wont work because I don't know what the -rom=**** name is or the --profile=**** name is. Is there any source of info on all those file names for all emulators and games so i can easily look them up for myself?
  11. My gun4irs are tc4 arcade guns and I have rumble motor and original recoils mechanism so there wasn't much room to fit buttons. I planned to originally but once it was together it was to tight to fit. The only other option I'm considering is once I build my cab I can wire a button on my cab to go into my gun and act as a guncon a or b button so I can play ps1 and ps2 games but It'd be way easier to manipulate the software if possible.
  12. I plugged in my ps4 controller and configed it with all the buttons. selected no guncon in the usb config. launched the game and it worked fine. The game auto skipped the calibration screen because no guncon was pugged in. The problem is I don't have buttons on my guncon. The emulator will only allow the guncon as controller one when in use which means if you need buttons they must be part of the guncon config. Thats why I was hoping it was possible to use ahk to change the a button on the guncon to the a button on my keyboard for example and use my keyboard along with my guncon as player one. I don't know if that's possible and I barely understand ahk so unless someone else with knowledge of ahk and how it works will tell me if its possible and type it out for me to use I doubt I'll get this to work.
  13. I tried that it doesn't work because It wants a or b with the guncon attached. I'm guessing the emulator is emulating a attached guncon and the guncon had a and b buttons so the emulator is only allowing the guncon to control player one not the keyboard or anything else. They are 2 separate config screens for mapping.
  14. I got the off screen reloading working in sm2. I had offscreen reloading set to shot in the corner in gun4ir gui but it needed to be set to normal shot. I tested hotd and virtuacop. virtua cop seems to have better accuracy though. Is there a way to do a in game calibration in hotd?
  15. Okay, I kept trouble shooting and I got lost world running pretty good. I didn't realize that off screen reload doesn't actually work. I assigned a button to it and was able to reload. I change the res of my pc to match sm3 instead of the other way around like I tried previously and that helped a lot with accuracy( still not perfect but definitely playable). I tried multiple versions of the emulator including the current build and out of the 3 I treid the only one I could get to run at a normal speed was the one I had set up for wiimotes. I'm not sure why. The latest build off the sm3 forum either ran way to fast or slow. Is there a way to have my pc switch resolutions automatically when launching a emulator in launchbox and then switch back automatically after I close out of that emulator?

  17. Unless I'm wrong in the pcsx2's input implementation you can only bind keys to to buttons that are on the ps2 controller. There is no a or b button on the ps2 controller so I cant input a keyboard key for that button. The a button is on the guncon. The guncon input doesn't allow you to bind keys from the keyboard only the mouse. The gun4ir acts as the mouse and has no buttons other than trigger so I can't assign a or b buttons to anything in pxsc2's button mapping unless there's something I don't know which is very possible since I only started messing around with this a couple days ago.

I thought if someone on the forum used ahk to launch their ps2 games then they could just show me what I need to type into a ahk and I could remap the a and b buttons to keys on my keyboard and launch the games through the ahk then I could also create a save state bypassing the calibration also but maybe that wouldn't work?
  19. Is there a way to map the a button in the pcsx2 app other than in the guncon config? That's the problem I'm having is I can't map it in the usb/guncon config because I don't have buttons on my light gun and there's no a or b button in the controllers config
  20. I cant find the ini file with button mappings. What will it be named and where in pcsx2 folder will it be located? I get what your saying I just cant locate the proper ini
  21. I'm trying to create a ahk for pcsx2 games like time crisis 2 so I can basically change the ''a'' button on the guncon to a button on my keyboard so I can get past calibration screens. My gun4ir doesn't have buttons. Is this possible? I'm barely understand ahk and was wondering if someone can provide me with a example of what this ahk would be so I can just copy it into my ahk and change file paths to make it work for me. Then I can apply the same to all my games that require me to hit buttons to begin the light gun game.
  22. I can run sm3 from command prompt and post the log. I finally got dolphin running wii arcade games with the 1 gun4ir light gun using demulshooter and it worked great. accuracy and off screen reloading both work so maybe its something in sm2 sm3 emulator that's the problem.
  23. I did the in game calibration in lost world after switch aspect ratio in gun4ir gui and it didn't make any difference. The aim is far off where as only a little off in hotd. also when closing SM3 it does close completely but then launchbox is resized and doesn't fit the whole screen anymore.
