  1. I don't know what's going on but when I try to buy premium license by clicking Go Premium then I choose For Android and Buy now, it's redirecting me to sign in screen. After sign in, the button For Android doesn't work and I see only a Windows version. When I'm not signed, it does work. I bought it without signing in.
  2. Thank you Bob I don't know how I missed this information on the Android app page, I thought I had looked through it thoroughly. Best regards Tom
  3. I have a premium (lifetime) license for the Windows version and I'm thinking about buying the same license for Android, but I wonder if it makes sense? The thing is that each application is developed and Android devices receive system updates, usually two (main) versions up. If I currently have a phone with Android 14 (an update to version 15 will be available this or next month), can I encounter a situation where in a few years I will see in some new version of Launchbox that it requires, for example, Android 17 and then I may no longer run Launchbox and will have to buy a new phone with a new system? So does it make sense to buy a lifetime license for Android?
  4. Sorry for replying so late... after Windows restart everything is working ok.
  5. My LB has stopped working (I mean Big Box) after upgrade to 13.0, LB is loading fine. I only see the Big Box logo that disappears after a while and nothing else.
  6. MAME settings Here are MAME emulator settings. These default command line parameters are made by LB and I don't know if I should change/delete them. Retroarch settings ----edit--- OK, I've read MAME tutorial for n00bs then I've unchecked all checkboxes and I've deleted all command line parameters and now LB launches MAME directly.
  7. So, what should I do to prevent LB from using Retroarch to launch MAME roms? Do I need to use Retroarch for MAME roms to be able to submit a high scores in MAME games? I have some input issues in MAME launched by LB but everything is fine when I play games directly from MAME.
  8. I have a similar problem with the sound in MAME triggered by LB and when the sound during the game becomes distorted, the character I am moving suddenly stands still and does not want to go further, I have to release the joystick to the neutral position and tilt it again in this direction to keep the character moving. It irritates me a lot because it often ends up losing my life in the game. I thought it might have to do with Retroarch and its cores but now I know LB doesn't use Retroarch for MAME games. When I run the MAME (I use 0.243 version) itself, with LB turned off, everything is fine. I have this problem on every LB version that I have used since purchasing (in March this year) the license. I have no such issues in any other platforms in LB or with newer games on my pc. --edit-- Oh, I found this topic Now I'm not sure if LB really launch MAME roms directly from MAME or by Retroarch and its cores?
  9. If you're talking about encoder like in picture below then I can say it should work because I have one and I used it with LB/BB and Retroarch before I've changed it to Brook UFB. The question is - which connectors are you using because this is important how RetroArch detects it? I've uploaded some pics found on Internet (it's important to connect select and start button, I also suggest connecting mode button to be able to switch between "analog" and d-pad). I also tried to get it to work with my Xbox One S through Brook Wingman XB adapter but it was partially working (worked just for a few seconds then was no response). The issue you have might be related to RetroArch controller config rather than LB/BB. You can update controler database in RetroArch (Main menu -> Online updater -> Update controller profiles then go to Settings -> Input, try to set in configuration the one that will work for you and don't forget to map the buttons in Settings -> Input -> Port 1 controlls. Too bad I can't give you my working configuration because I don't have it anymore after changing the encoder. BTW some say that two idencital encoders might have the same ID's in Windows and that can cause problems with 2 player games, there was a solution for it on the Internet but I don't have a link to it. You can also try to search for retroarch autoconfig topics over Internet to force RetroArch to always detect exact controller driver from autoconfig subfolder.
  10. Thank you very much for all answers One last question - there are "rom packs", "rom sets", with different sizes, how can I know which one is really the complete rom set? The first one I've downloaded was 0.37b5 and it turned out to be incomplete because in example, such a well known game like Donkey Kong didn't work. I know the differences between split, merged, not merged sets.
  11. I think it's not as easy as it seems. I have the same issue and it's the third day when I'm downloading different rom sets. ETA didn't mention if you have to copy MAME bioses to your roms folder or not, some rom sets don't have them. I don't even know if they are needed to work with MAME in LB? I've moved my roms from \LaunchBox\Games\Arcade to \LaunchBox\emulators\MAME\roms (I wanted to have all my platform emulators in "emulators" subfolder, I've checked paths in MAME ini and still many roms don't work. I have the newest 0.241 rom sets. I would really like to know what am I doing wrong? Deleting and importing new rom set and downloading the whole emumovies stuff for those roms takes so much hours everytime. Different rom sets have different size, downloading xx gigabytes takes hours too. I would like to know: - what's really needed for MAME to work? - what roms are needet for MAME to work? I mean... do I need bioses, samples, datafiles, etc.? - can I delete all MAME roms from LB without deleting media files (from emumovies) then add a new rom set then delete only media for roms I don't have (and how to do it right)? - how to delete one rom from the list and also its media files? - how to check why exact game rom doesn't work if the only thing you see after launching it is blank screen for a second
  12. It's my first post here so hello to everyone I have the same problem with my Launchbox (newest version) and EmuMovies. I thought it might be the same issue - to much special characters in my password so I've changed it to shorter (16 chars) and with only one special character and that didn't solve the problem. I have two firewall rules, one for launchbox.exe and one for CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe and it doesn't work even if I turn firewall off. I have a lifetime Launchbox license and premium EmuMovies membership. I can connect to EmuMovies ftp with that password. I don't want to block my EmuMovies account by changing my password over and over again to see if it finally works in Launchbox. I've opened a support ticket at EmuMovies but haven't received any answer yet. --edit-- I can connect to EmuMovies ftp with Total Commader but I can't connect with EmuMovies Sync, it gives me an error "Login failure". --edit2-- That's really strange... I've just tried to connect to EmuMovies through Launchbox options menu and it has connected successfully... EmuMovies Sync works now. I don't know what's going on...
