  1. Hi team, (Sorry if in the wrong location) I have Big Box working and working well, but I'm having trouble getting it to display the platforms I want and I'm not sure why. In LB I have set up the following (pic) and it worked but I can't replicate it in Big Box. I have checked to make sure it doesnt say "hide in Big Box". Today I added Sega Model 2 and Sega ST-V to the root as I wanted them visible other than just under ARCADE in BB. All my consoles, handhelds and Sammy and Naomi worked, but I realised SNK didnt work in BB either. I cant think of what I may have missed to make all these platform groups appear in BB. As they appear and work as intended in LB. Thank you, I'm sure it will be something easy and quite stupid that I missed. (EDIT - AND IT WAS) TIA BV3 ****** EDIT SOLVED - I LEARNED TO READ & ticked the box to include as platform *********
  2. Awesome, but for the life of me I cant get the saves to save under a Naomi folder, they just create new saves in the game title folder under saves eg saves/vtennis2 I have the setup like OP WP, top two unselected under save options and third and fourth on. EDIT - Sorted. I took each out of their own folders in the non merged set I had and placed them individually into a collective folder and this works.....
  3. I wanted to EDIT the title to solved, as digging through some other posts I did manage to find something that led me to a fix. A previous post on Atomiswave/Naomi referenced how to use core information to ascertain what was missing. Everything I have seen on RA seems to indicate that you just throw bios files in the system folder. Once I searched through core information all of the missing information had dc/ which appeared as if I needed the flycast bioses to be self contained within a folder named dc. Once I did this the issue was resolved. Thanks to @Jayinem for the assist.
  4. Hi all, this has me stumped. I'm trying to load Sammy Atomiswave games using Retroarch Flycast core. Whatever I do it does not work within LB or outside of LB with Retroarch. If I setup a standalone Flycast emulator within LB it works but then I can't seem to find the right parameters for within LB. I'm attempting to use the excellent Warped Polygon setup (thank you WP) but unfortunately. When I try outside of LB in Retroarch I get 'cannot load bios awbios'. My working bios that I use in Flycast standalone is in the system folder of retroarch, so I'm not sure why it isnt working. Within LB I have made sure that "Extract ROM" is unchecked, but to be honest, it doesn't appear to get that far as the bios wont load. I'm using stable Retroarch release with 1.16 Flycast. Any thoughts on what I can do to overcome this hurdle?
  5. Hi all, Having this issue. Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. (Parameter 'index') App: LaunchBox Version: 13.2 Type: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException Site: Void ThrowArgumentOutOfRange_IndexException() Source: System.Private.CoreLib at System.Linq.Enumerable.WhereListIterator`1.ToList() at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.Desktop.MenuActions.DownloadMetadataAndMediaMenuAction.<>c__DisplayClass10_1.InstantiateNotificationReponse(Game game) at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.Threading.<>c__DisplayClass7_1`1.RunRemoteDefinition() at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart_Context(Object state) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.RunInternal(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state) --- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown --- at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart() Recent Log: 11:39:41 AM Exception I tried to follow the create new account process to log this error, that didnt work either. So I'm popping it here. Cheers, bv3
  6. Solved - Not sure what I did but I read any and all posts that my inadequate search terms would bring up, Anyway, I have added the entire ROM set, not just added roms with selections of things I don't yet understand how they include or exclude ROM variants by the xml, for example mortal kombat (mk.zip) excluded from my list when I did the standard Import ROM files but not through import ROM set. Anyway, this appears resolved.
  7. Hi all, not new to MAME or emulation, just new to Launchbox. I've previously used MAMEUI and just started a new build with Launchbox. On MAMEUI (MAME 233) I have all the Big Buck Hunter variants. On Launchbox I only get one, BBH COTW . I've tried to reimport the other variants but no luck once I get to the import screen that says Launchbox will now import these games it is blank, despite me selecting specific files. I hope I have explained this correctly. I'm sure I wont be the first to ask this question, but I cant think of the correct search term so I apologise in advance for being a noob. The same thing is happening with Bubble Bobble and I cant work out what I am supposed to do to enable these games. Thanks for any and all help. BV3.
