Sony Playstation does the same thing with languages

I think this might be a RetroArch question - some platforms i have ex: Sega Dreamcaster, the games all default to an Asian Language (not sure which one) then i have to change it to English every time i play a game. Is there a way to change the default settings? So that i dont have to do it every time, and for every game. Not sure which forum is the best to ask this question.

Thanks for the link- Where do i drop these files into Launchbox? Is this for the "wheel"? Meaning when i browse the games these sounds will play? If yes, are there sound packs for full emulators such as Super Nintendo ... is there a sound pack for all super nintendo games? or are these custom for certain groupings of games such as "Sonic"

Hi All - Just letting you all know- i am up and running! haha thanks for all the help on my other posts. Im pretty much solid right now. One more question though- In Hyperspin there were wheel sounds (im definitely not going back to hs) Does Big Box support sounds on the wheel? so as i browse through my games it makes the gobble gobble sound on pack man and the ding dring dring ding (jumping sound) on Donkey Kong etc .... ?

Hi All - Thanks in advance for all the support. I finally have configured Mame and my arcade games with the help of this forum. i am having an issue on games like Donkey Kong where i want to use two players with two controllers. My current state is i have two players playing but sharing a controller - meaning passing it back and forth. However when i play Gauntlet i can play 2 players same time with two controllers. What am i doing wrong?

Where are the keyboard mappings in LB?

In my pic above - looks like "Play Game" is None - Im assuming thats why i cant play ... Is there a typical standard mapping of how these buttons should be mapped? Select Back Play Game Any template i can use? Or is it really just personal preference?

Hi All - Thank you for reading my post and any support you can give. Do i have this right? 1- When you go to the tools in LB see pic below - these are the controls for LB and how to maneuver around and get to your game. 2- Do these also need to be mapped separately in BB? Or does LB setting carry over? 3- once you click PLAY a game, then it goes to the emulator settings. So whatever you have programmed in the emulator is what your controls will respond to. 3A- The only option in BB is to "exit current window" which then kicks me back to BB (working good). I cant play a game directly from LB. No controls work - every button just "exits" me out of the game. Is this correct? or can i select a game directly from LB? and play

MAME ROM Folder is 666Gig Interesting number .... didnt realize it was that big! I am assuming i have a full set ?

Thank you I am using Retroarch for MAME - Is your advice to get my hands on a full version of MAME that i know the version of? and then move forward? Trying to get random ROMS working is not how this is supposed to work? Is there a program that can tell me if i have a full version and what version i have?

I have no idea what MAME set i have, nor do i know if it is a complete MAME set

That is my issue: Go to the associated platform tab and update the core for the Arcade platform (or whatever you called your platform) to use the correct MAME core you wish to use I dont know what the correct MAME Core i am supposed to use is ... How would i find that out what MAME core i am supposed to use?

Thanks friend - I have a slightly different question now - (Im almost done!) When i import my ROMS for Mame do i just import ROMS? or do i need to the feature of Import Full Mame Sets? I tried doing just ROMS because im not sure if my set if a "full Rom set" and it didnt work ... i got some kind of sedoku type game playing on any ROM i select. Should i create a new post for this?

Let me ask a different way I have the full mane set but only want to download the games i grew up with and want to play not the 1000's. So i want Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Pacman, MrDo, + about 40 more .. but i only want these specific games. I cant decipher the ROM names to do that ... Is there a way LB can help?

C-Beats- You have been my savior here ... but ... I dont get it? The way I have been using LB is: 1- I go to to tools, import, ROM Files 2- then i choose the 3rd option and run Rom files in existing locations, so that i dont have to download the entire Mame set onto my hardrive Is there a way to just select the games i only want ---- approximate 50 games in Mame instead of the 1000's?
