Hi All I am jumping on this thread here. I want to get this working in LB. I got Altirra working stand alone. Pretty cool to see an emulated computer from back in the day. In the root folder of the emulator i set up a folder called games. I have a few games in there for testing. Any instructions? other than point LB to the emulator and the games folder? is that really it?

Here is my scenario: I want to save game status: save the board i am at when i am done playing example: Donkey Kong Country However i don't want to apply saving the game status "saving the board i am on" with other games example: Any other game. neil9000: "Set controller combos in Retroarch for save state and load state and use the button combo while in game." Can you explain this a bit more? sorry but i don't understand what this means but i think it sounds like there is an option for what i am looking to do. Use the botton combo while in game: what is a button combo? always use the actual game saves via the game save system: What is the game save system? It sounds like this is what i need, but i have no idea what some of these terms mean. Dugan

ok tested Looks like it deletes my status when removing the save settings. So - what does everyone else do? Is there a way to save game status on one particular game without saving game status on other games using the same emulator? What am i missing here? any help would be greatly appreciated

From my tests it looks like this is how it works. RA saves the game status for everything using Retroarch. any way around this? Meaning can i save the status for only a specific game ie: donkey kong country? One more question or thought - Lets say i want to save DK Country's status. Step 1: I flip on the settings for save in Retroarch I play the game and save about 5-6 boards into it. Its saved Step 2: If i flip off the save status in Retroarch to play a new game that i dont want to save, When i go back to DK Country will it still have my save status? or is that deleted? I guess i should test all of this, but figured someone might know.

Hi All - Game: Donkey Kong Country I wanted to save my status in game progression and followed to tutorials to navigate to Retroarch and flip two settings to auto save the game. Good news is this worked Questions (2 of them) 1- What happens if i want to start a new game? do i need to flip those settings back in Retroarch and keep doing that? 2- Does this setting now apply to ALL games that i use in Retroarch? or just the game i chose "Donkey Kong Country"? The way i set it was in Big Box i launched Open Retroarch and then set it from there. Sorting this out would make my day! Thank you in advance

Hi Is there a way to have the LSB stick on certain platforms and use the DPad on other platforms? Or is it one config for all? Thanks in advance Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. Dugan

Hi Did you ever get this working?

HI Is there any documentation or threads to set up light gun games? Some seem to work straight with emulator with Mame but others like PC games need bat files. Any info i can read up on? thanks Dugan

Got it!!!! Makes sense. I will say all my settings carried over such as controller settings which was time consuming to set up, Not a LB thing, but an individual emulator thing so i was very happy that it came over. I can understand how the best way to back it up is to have everything in LB. Think im going to pick up a huge drive and load it all up and just have it all local. Thanks!

HI All - Great product and support. I hope i am not asking to do anything against the license agreement (i have the full license). Here is my scenario: I have LB loaded on a PC which mainly plays in my living room. Every so often my son will want to play in his room. Or if we go on vacation i want to have my games with me, and sometimes my parents house that we stay at from time to time. I am trying to avoid loading up all my ROMS and LB set up on multiple machines. Can i do the full install on a portable USB drive? Plug into a PC and just play? Is this possible? or is there another way to accomplish this? Again i dont want to do anything against the license agreement. One more question? Whats the best way to back up my LB setup? I recently had to upgrade my pc and moving things over was a bit of a pain and took some time due to drive letters not matching up.

May i be bold enough to ask one more question? Having this one game in BigBox as a stand alone is a bit odd - Can i group this into another category? Like Arcade ? or something else? How can i move this into something else, instead of having one game on my BB wheel? This may be a stupid question but ----- I am almost there! so figured i give it a try

Never mind! Solved --- Thank You - User error - i had two versions of it and was pointing to wrong one .... Deepest apologies - that worked!!!!

Hi - Followed instructions (i think) Dragged it the exe into LB followed the none of the above directions and went through wizard When selecting Donkey Me ..... LB and BB both launch a windows window instead of playing the game. LB and BB do the same thing What did i do wrong? See pics

Hi All - Has anyone ever seen the files Donkey Me - It's donkey kong original with different "skins" like Star Wars etc ... Is there a way to integrate this into Launchbox / BB? Looks like its an executable all bundled up in one file. Many thanks

Hi Is there an art work repository that i can access (willing to pay) for the Bigbox wheel - For example i created a playlist called Favorites - but it obviously shows in in plain text. I would like that to be a bit more graphical. I am not good with art. Anywhere i can access art? again willing to pay
