  1. Thank you, Neil9000! Much appreciated. For anyone finding this thread, the setting is: Options -> General -> enable the "Skip Game Details Screen"
  2. All of the BigBox themes I see have a three-level menu system. The outermost menu lists all available emulators. The first click chooses one. The middle menu shows all the games available for that emulator. The second click chooses a particular game. The innermost menu shows the details of that particular game. A third click launches that game; there is not much to select at that level other than to play it (or exit out). Are there any themes that just have a two-level menu system, a bit more like LaunchBox: the first chooses the currently-selected emulator and the second chooses AND LAUNCHES the currently-selected game?
  3. Same issue here, on a brand-new installation of LB using the default theme. VLC plays sound but just black video on every game in the extra information bar on the right; messing with the video in any way (e.g. maximizing the video, then minimizing it) fixes things for that video, but same issue on all the others. Not a big deal, and easy to fix by using Windows Media Player, but since LB says VLC preferred, feels "not right". The only other thing running here is OBS, but it is not actively recording.
  4. Thank you! I’m glad helpful people like you are in the forum. I’ll pay it forward. And thanks to Jason for making this so much easier to use than HyperSpin! My only suggestion to Jason is to directly expose icon properties on a right click of the text.
  5. Thanks, Retro 808! Your screen name is great; Roland put out some great products in the 80's. I play keys in a classic rock covers band, so I do a lot with vintage sims. Where do we tell LB what icons to use, or does it just automatically figure it out for itself? I'd have thought right-click the category, but the image specified there only shows up on the "details" pane, not on the main left panel.
  6. Thanks all for helping out the noobs like me. Most things in LB are blissfully intuitive (unlike HS, where I come from), but adding icons for platform categories has me stumped. Specifically, where the icons are stored on the screenshot below for "platform category". As you can see, I'm missing ones for Genre and Pinball (and its subfolders). I'd have thought that I could put them in Launchbox/Images/Platform Categories (which I did) and then right click the platform category to which I want to add the image, like I've shown in the screenshot below. But that shows I already have a bunch of icons in there, including ones for the Clear Logo type, but they don't show up as shown in the first screen shot. I suspect maybe this has something to do with the Theme? But I'm using the default theme, so I'm just confused how to add the Platform Category icons. Help!
  7. C-Beats: I owe you. Right on the money. Thank you!!!
  8. I have purchased and registered LB/BB. I'm configuring LB, and I'm confused about why no videos autoplay. I have sets of mp4's in the associated platform's /Video folder. The ROMs are correctly configured to play (FWIW, they are Pinball FX3 .pxp); everything launches correctly and works correctly. The "View" has autoplay videos turned on. I'm using the default theme. In the ROM's Ctrl-E setup screen, it correctly points to the video (somehow Jason coded it to autopoint to the correct mp4; very nice!). The mp4's play fine when run directly on VLC and WMP. Yet, whether I have the system set to use VLC or WMP, I get nothin'. I expect to see a video autoplay on the right "details" screen (which is open, and where the still images associated with the ROM are all visible). What could I be missing? It's a problem with all of the mp4's for all the ROMs not playing. They don't even showing up in the details pane as choices. It's on the stable 13.1, and even when I updated to the latest nightly build. If I try to fix it by reinstalling LB, do I need to first backup all my xml's and .ini's (and maybe other configuration files?) I spent a lot of time setting things up; I don't want to lose it all.
