  1. This is the Steam Deck companion to my LaunchBox 4K CRT Build. It runs on your PC and sends your LaunchBox library over your home network to EmuDeck on the Deck, with every system on the light version of the same period TV it uses on the big screen. Get It On GitHub: shu2600/shus-steam-deck-crt-build What It Does Finds EmuDeck on the internal drive or the SD card and shows what fits in your free space Per system: all games, just your playlist games, or none Each system gets the Mega Bezel Standard version of its PC look, including any you picked yourself, so it's light on the battery Missing shader packs are downloaded by the Deck itself from their official pages LaunchBox covers, 3D boxes and logos copied into ES-DE Your LaunchBox favourites added to Steam with box art Step By Step: Wi-Fi Or Ethernet, Keeping It Awake, And Turning On SSH. Every System With Its Size, Against The Deck's Free Space. It doesn't include, download or point to any games or BIOS. You bring your own. You need the PC build done first and EmuDeck on the Deck. To Use It: download the ZIP from GitHub and double-click setup_deck.bat on your PC. First release, so tell me what breaks on your Deck. Built by Shu and Anima · shuhq.com
  2. Cheers, I hope people find it useful. If you've got a big 4K TV, check out the PC version too: Shu's LaunchBox 4K CRT Build. Bizarrely, your avatar is the home screen on my phone 😄
  3. Thanks @launchretrogirl2562, that's exactly the idea: the work's done once and everyone gets it. Got A Steam Deck? The Deck version now has its own thread: Shu's Steam Deck CRT Build.
  4. The Same Atari 2600 Frame: What The Emulator Draws, And The Same Frame On Duimon's 1970s HMV Cabinet At 4K. I've spent the last few weeks getting my LaunchBox set up for a 4K TV: every system on a TV or monitor from its own era using Mega Bezel and Duimon's packs, arcade games in full cabinets, and the artwork filled in. Doing that by hand took days, so I've turned it into a free setup wizard anyone can run. Get It On GitHub: shu2600/shus-launchbox-4k-crt-build What It Does Builds your LaunchBox library from your own folders, and works out which folder is which system Fetches the Mega Bezel shader and Duimon's TV packs from their own download pages Renders one of your games per system in every TV and frame, so you pick the look by clicking a picture Fills covers, screenshots, 3D boxes, playlists and menu icons from free sources (LaunchBox DB, libretro, ArcadeDB) Sets MAME's cabinet artwork order if you have Lights Out, the realistic set or the Bezel Project A Light mode for laptops and older graphics cards Safe to run again: favourites and play history are kept, and Cancel stops it at any point Pick A Look From Your Own Game In Every TV. Tick Your Systems. Your Folders Are Found For You. It doesn't include, download or point to any games or BIOS. You bring your own. To Use It: download the ZIP from GitHub and double-click setup.bat. If you don't have Python it offers to install it. It sits on other people's work: Duimon, HyperspaceMadness, TheNamec, Mr. RetroLust and everyone in the credits. It's a first release, so I'd like to hear what breaks on your setup. Built by Shu and Anima · shuhq.com
