  1. Merry Christmas everyone. Hope Santa was good to you all.
  2. Okay. I have my emulators and roms outside the Launchbox folder as the moment. I will change that now. In case I ever need to move them again. Thanks for the help.
  3. I don't know what you mean by portable paths, but I did put Launchbox on the same drive. I even installed the new update to that drive. It's being really stubborn for the two emulators I mentioned before. It worked for my other ones. Don't know what's going on. Thanks.
  4. I spent a good few hours going through all my games and images before deciding to move my emulators and launchbox to a different drive on my computer because it took up massive amounts of space. My question is, how do I now change the rom paths without having to redo all that tedious work? I tried to use the import rom and just changing the directory, and it worked for a couple of rom sets but refuses to work for the 32x and Genesis. Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks.
  5. It sure does suck. It would be sweet if you could fix that. Thanks.
  6. Jason Carr said Hi muny, thanks for the feedback. On the above, I assume you must be talking about the places where I use the Windows folder browser dialog instead of the file browser? I do already use the one you screenshotted above anywhere you have to select a file instead of a folder. Is it the folder browser dialog that's the problem (that would make sense, I know it can be a pain)? Where are you seeing the problem dialog? That window comes up whenever I go to import roms and select browse. I just went back and tested other browse buttons and I think that's the only one that behaves like the picture in this post. Thanks for the tip on the single game edit option. It works well. EDIT: I just went and tested every other browse button and it seems that the rom browsing is the only that does the above. I guess you must have missed that one unless you programmed it like that for a reason.
  7. Hello, First I have to say, I've been trying out every single front end out there and yours is by far the best for what I'm looking for. I love the look and feel to it. And now on to the "buts". There are a few things that make it a struggle to use, some are already on the request list so no point in creating a new thread for those features: media pathing to local files instead of downloading is the biggest concern. Besides that I would love it if you could use a different "Browse for Files Dialog" box. I loathe the one you're using. It's such a pain in the ass to use. You have to scroll through your whole computer every time you need to import anything. The better dialog box is the one that has the left folder view pane, or whatever it's called, with shortcuts to folders on your computer. That way you can just click on a folder with your emulators/roms instead of navigating your whole PC. I have been searching online for a way to change this myself and can only find the answer that the person who made the program has to change this themselves in the exe file. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but my search-fu is weak on this topic. Here's a picture of what I would like to have: Another thing I would love is the ability to edit the plaforms/emulator without having to import roms. Although I have found a work around, a direct edit button would be nice. As it stands, you can just select the platform you want to edit and select import roms but do no select any rooms. Then you select the emulator in that window pane and edit it that way. With those few nuisances, I still enjoy this front end most of all. You have done an amazing job thus far. Thanks.

    Media Paths

Yes please add this. Re-downloading all the media takes ages. It took almost two days for it to finish my MAME collection. If this feature is not possible, can you at least add a better way to store the downloaded files. As it is right now they all get downloaded to the images folder. That thing is a mess. It would be much appreciated if the downloaded media were put into their own platform folder and title folder. For example, when you download media files for Mega Man for NES it creates two folders as so: NES\Mega Man and puts the media files into the game title folder.
