  1. This was made with Connect Code Software Box Shots Maker. www.boxshot.org/opensource.html they are using the BSD License.
  2. Wow, that's great! If we can find an open source version with the right licensing, I will post it.
  3. shock66 said General question for people trying out the betas: Since Launchbox is portable, do you install each new beta to new folders? I want to do this so as not to possibly mess up my main install (after a load of setup work it's just about perfect!), but wonder if there's anything I should keep in mind. Thanks! I have two installations: C:\Launchbox -> this is what I use for playing games. This installation rarely gets updated, or changed at all. C:\Launchbox2 -> constantly tinkering with, trying new things like using LB to sort eBooks, Audio-books by launching VLC as an emulator with a playlist file as the ROM, weird stuff like that... This installation is constantly getting messed around with.

    ZDoom

Thank you scree, I had forgotten to "tell" ZDoom where to look for the base Hexen.wad file. Adding Path=..\..\Games\ZDoom to the [IWADSearch.Directories] section of the gzdoom.ini file fixed the problem. Jason, you are right in that its not a lot of disk space, and more trouble than its worth to troubleshoot separating it out, but to be honest I enjoy tinkering with the way things are setup more than actually playing the games. I suppose the reason for doing it like an emulator is the same reason i have Windows 3.1 running through DOSBox on my tablet. It all comes down to: "Because its there." How does the saying go? "I do because I can; I can because I do."....

    ZDoom

Hello all, Has anyone tried to use LB with ZDoom? I set it up as like i would for a ROM emulator. i use the .WAD files as the ROM. it works great except for HEXDD. My path for ZDoom executable is: C:\LAUNCHBOX\GAMES\EMULATORS\GZDOOM\GZDOOM.EXE I placed the .WAD files in: C:\LAUNCHBOX\GAMES\ZDOOM\HEXDD.WAD I put the DOOM2.WAD and others in the same directory. It work great except for the HEXDD.WAD. As a default command line argument for the "emulator" ZDoom i use "-iwad" I check the box to remove the quotes and in the preview line under manage emulators it reads: gzdoom.exe gzdoom.ini -iwad file If there are any others out there that have tried this and could offer any help I would be grateful.
  6. I would like to connect to a IPX server to play multiplayer with Warcraft II. I made the appropriate modifications to the config file for dosbox. looking at my IPX server I do get not a connection attempt when dosbox starts and launches warcraft. i have tried to just double click the dosbox executable (c:\launchbox\dosbox\dosbox.exe) when i do this the autoexec executes and I get a connection to my IPX server. it looks like launchbox does not use the config file (c:\launchbox\dosbox\dosbox.conf) is this the case? if so does it somehow ignore the autoexec section?
