  1. Is there currently a way to see the file name of the selected game in the details bar? If not I'd like to request that the option is added. It would also be good if you could choose if it's displayed per platform (ie not necessary for PC games, but may be useful for certain emulators eg with games that span multiple discs). Thanks,
  2. Hey there, I've seen that link already, but I can't run boot2bin as I'm on a 64bit system. Also a lot of forums give conflicting information, eg: http://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=10640. As @garbanzo said that you can run bin/cue files on Demul, could someone please help me get Demul working? As I said, at the moment, nothing seems to happen after opening a cue/bin file. Cheers,
  3. garbanzo said I have 248 Dreacast games in gdi/bin/raw format, and they all load fine with DEmul :) Hey guys, thanks a lot for all your responses! I'm a little confused so I'll let you know where I'm at. I've imported my DC library, and am using Demul as my emulator. Whenever I load a .cdi game, the Dreamcast 'boots' and goes to the music-cd screen. Whenever I try to run a cue/bin game, it just opens the emulator and nothing happens. I know you've all posted code, but what exactly needs to go where to fix this problem? I'm using the latest LB beta. Cheers, *EDIT* That's strange, even Utopia is just taking me to the music CD screen... *EDIT2* I managed to get nullDC working and that can boot the cdi images, but is failing to launch the cue/bin games. I get an error message saying: 'default image "null" failed to load.
  4. Hi DOS76, Thanks for the link, but NullDC always seems to crash when booting a disc (perhaps incompatible with my version of Windows), but I have Demul set up and working fine. As I said though, the cdi images I currently have aren't self-booting though so I'm looking either for a patcher/converter, or a way to automatically run Utopia first. It's a shame about the .bin files, but that contradicts a lot of what I've read beforehand... why would bin2boot be so popular for example if it doesn't work? He does sound like he knows what he's talking about though. Does anyone have more information on this? I can't find .cdi versions of the games I own so would like to find a solution. Cheers,
  5. Hi guys, I have a collection of Dreamcast games, to get them to run seamlessly through LaunchBox (ie a game to run after double-clicking the box-art) I think I need to do the following: 1. Convert all games to .cdi format. Currently some are in .cdi format, whereas others are .bin (+.cue) and even some .nrg. I think the first thing I need to do is convert everything to .cdi format, this is where I encounter my first error. 'Bin 2 Boot' doesn't run on 64bit systems - is there a way around this? 2. Make all images self-booting. Again, I'm not sure how to do this really, the games I've tried running through emulators currently treat my images as music CDs. I suppose an alternative would be to automatically run something like the Utopia boot CD and then switch to the selected game, but again, I wouldn't know how to do this. 3. Set up an emulator within LaunchBox. Again, based on my research, I think Demul would work best, but I'm guessing it'll need to be configured in a certain way depending on how we tackle the above points. If someone could help me with this process (maybe someone who's already got it functioning as intended?) that'd be awesome :)
  6. Hey :) Thanks for your help - it turns out, although I'd gone to 'save config' previously, it was reverting back to the default settings, so I renamed the saved config, and replaced 'retroarch.cfg' in the main folder. Cheers!
  7. I found a topic for it here: http://libretro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1812 but this method doesn't seem to be working for me. Is there a way to force full-screen and a set ratio across all cores?
  8. Cool, well hopefully people will find this thread in the meantime :)
  9. Just a heads up, Project64 causes a BSOD on Windows 10 when not run in compatibility mode. As such my LaunchBox.xml file has become corrupt and I am no longer able to start LaunchBox. It asks me to restore a previous XML, so I have deleted the current one in the root folder, and then renamed the latest XML file in the 'Backups' folder to 'LaunchBox.xml' and placed it in the root folder, but I'm still getting the same error. I have tried a few different backups but haven't had any luck, where am I going wrong? Cheers. *EDIT* Typical, just after starting this topic, I tried a different backup file (about the 6th one I tried) and it's now working again, apologies. I'll leave this thread here though as I couldn't find any guides on how to restore a database when Googling.
  10. Jason Carr said I only see one payment from you, actually. So not sure what happened the first time around but it looks like it didn't go through. I guess that's why you didn't get an email at first. What you could do for the import, is import them all now, and then just delete the games that didn't pull information (you can filter by TheGamesDB.net ID). Then you can re-import them all later once we have the new solution, and it will skip over the games that already exist. I hope to get to that import thing soon, but I can't make any promises as to when at this point. Custom filters exclusions are another thing that I still need to tackle. Ok thanks mate, I'll do that then - is there a newsletter or anything I can use to keep track of updates? Also I'll sign up to the beta releases :)
  11. Jason Carr said Hi @crimsonnight, sorry for the delay; I went to bed shortly after posting that. It looks like the email went out to you last night on schedule. I just re-sent it again. Let me know if you receive it. Hi Jason. I repurchased it around an hour ago as I didn't receive anything the first time, I received the notification email the second time, as well as the one you reposted - could you please cancel/refund one of my orders? Also, should I wait for the new feature to be implemented before importing the rest of my ROMs? One extra question if you don't mind - is there any way to exclude certain labels from custom filters - for example I'd like to create a filter that displays SNES games, but only ones without the source-label 'hack'? Thanks,
  12. Jason Carr said Hi @crimsonnight, per PayPal, I've switched it to use a different payment provider, but the old page is still cached for some people. Try pressing F5 to refresh the page. The automatic matching is tricky because it's easy to make matching mistakes if we get too lenient in the matching process. That said, I know it's not ideal. I have an item on my list to allow you to go through non-matches at the end of the process and easily choose the item to match them to. Hi Jason, My payment was accepted by Swipe 10 mins ago, but nothing's happened since - I'm yet to receive an email, could you please look into it for me?
  13. Thanks for the swift response Jason, and I totally understand that, but if you had an option to automatically match up any non-matches with the first item on the metadata results list and maybe ok-ing them before committing that would be awesome. Would just a feature only be available when importing or at any time? If it's the first one then I'll wait before importing my other ROMs/Games. Cheers.
  14. Title says it all really, as you can see from this example, the name of the ROM is slightly different to the GameDB entry and because of that it's not grabbing the info for it: http://puu.sh/k7k8D/4b6bfd3ecf.jpg. I've just been through my SNES games and corrected the missing links, (which literally involved searching the metadata and selecting the first option from the list for all of them) and it took me over an hour, which is especially frustrating as the SNES has a relatively small library. So before I waste a day fixing all the missing entries, is there any way to allow the metadata search to be more lenient? Or automatically select the first option on the list if an exact match isn't found? Or at least take the name of the game in other regions into account? Bonus question: I'm trying to purchase the premium version of LaunchBox but it's saying that there's a problem with the recipient's PayPal account? Cheers
