  1. So the path's technically 'Y:\Games\Super Nintendo (SNES)', but because it's a mapped network drive and I want to keep LB as portable as possible, I'd rather direct it to the parent directory as opposed to a specific drive letter if possible (Launchbox is installed to 'Y:\LaunchBox')
  2. Neither "..\Games\Super Nintendo (SNES)" or "\\Games\Super Nintendo (SNES)" is working for me, why is this?
  3. Got it working - just posting to help anyone with a similar issue in the future. Turns out it was the network drive, no issues at all running LB from my local drive (which surprised me as I haven't encountered any issues running other (portable) programs from a mapped drive yet). The way I got around it was by installing LB on my C drive, copying it over to my mapped drive, then creating a symbolic link on my C drive to the LB folder on my mapped drive. Just in the process of copying all my data over from my previous LB installation on my old machine
  4. I had tried adding the LB to the exceptions previously. Still getting the issue though after shutting all extra software down, removing the suggested folder and reinstalling
  5. Thanks for getting back to me Is the issue maybe that it's on a network drive? I've switched my desktop for a laptop + eGPU + NAS combo - unfortunately I don't really have any space left on my laptop's SSD so I'm keen to keep it all on the NAS if I can... It's a new disk that I ran a check on a couple of weeks ago and there are no issues with it. I'll start by closing MalwareBytes, Razer Cortex etc though.
  6. I'm having the issue on my Razer Blade Stealth (Late 2019 Edition). It shows it as 'Initializing' for around 10 seconds before just closing. The dependencies are all installed and no issues with SFC /scannow. I also don't have Riva Tuner installed and have tried reinstalling LB. What's my next step? Cheers
  7. Hey guys - I've copied Launchbox to a microSD card to use with my GPD Win. When opening Launchbox/Bigbox, it tries to create a directory but says it doesn't have permission, even when launching as an admin. I've also noticed that any settings I change in emulators aren't saving, which leads me to think there's some sort of issue to do with write-permissions on the card? I remember reading a while back that it's something to do with the whole 'safe to remove sd card thing'?
  8. Thanks Jason, I have tried that though and it's definitely not picking up all the data anymore (even when ticking the inc. wikipedia option). Virtually all the fields are empty on most of the games that were previously filled, and big games such as Ark are missing their artwork: (spec ops is where the 'Windows' games ends) Also, is there a way to add a wildcard to custom filter fields? For example, if you want a filter for all 'Cooperative' (genre) 'PC' games that includes games that have multiple genres (as long as 'Cooperative' is one of them)? Thanks!
  9. Thanks Jason, I seem to have some images back but not others. All titles seem to be missing their metadata too. Is there an easy fix for these two issues? Can I just delete them all and re-add them? If I do that, how can I ensure they're assigned to the 'PC' platform? Thanks,
  10. I bulk-edited them all to 'PC' and now they've lost all their metadata and searching for it isn't working either - help!
  11. Sorry, my bad, I assumed when you said 'Windows' you meant 'PC' - you're right, they're under the 'Windows' platform. How can I combine the PC and Windows platforms into 1? ...I don't remember there being 2 platforms previously. Cheers
  12. They're not there - at first I thought it was an issue with custom filters, so I checked platforms straight after...
  13. I'm running the latest beta. I've just added my latest Steam games but they're not showing up anywhere, is there a way to refresh a certain platform? I've tried the import Steam games option again but they're not featured on the list so they're definitely in my database. I've also tried closing and reopening the program.
  14. Is there a way to get the correct BG to display if you have multiple pictures in the 'Fanart - Background' folder?
  15. Jason Carr said Hi @crimsonnight, instead of importing via a folder, try using add files. Then go to your wbfs folder, and type *.wbfs into the search box in the top right of the browse dialog. Then select them all with Ctrl+A and see if that works for you. :) That worked, cheers!
  16. Strange, I have absolutely no idea why it's not working in that case, the files work absolutely fine with dolphin etc. - please check out the attached and let me know if I'm doing anything wrong >_< (the second image is just to show that there are in fact files in the subfolders)
  17. My collection of Wii games is in a .wbfs format. When trying to import my collection into Launchbox, it's not finding the files - are they incompatible with Launchbox? If so why?
  18. DOS76 said my Version of SSF doesn't have a drive letter you can either set it to DT or the physical drive from the drop down and then in the SSF.ini it is listed as 1 if you change it to 0 then the physical drive is listed. What version of SSF are you using Don't worry, that's what I meant - selecting the right drive from the drop-down box in settings (SSF_012_beta_R4)
  19. Did you change the drive letter to your virtual drive in SSF? Are you seeing the virtual drive being mounted in Windows Explorer? If you're not then try installing the version that's working for me.
  20. DOS76 said Is that script working for you I can't get it to work for me and have had to go adding an additional app route for every single game. Yep, with the old version of Daemon Tools installed it's working fine for me - after setting up the bios and changing the CD drive letter in SSF's settings that is.
  21. Thanks for responding so quickly but I managed to find a version that'd install, 4.46.1 found here: http://daemon-tools.en.uptodown.com/old (even 4.45.3 didn't work!). I'm using the following code for Saturn emulation which seems to be working: @echo off set daemon="C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" start "" %daemon% -mount dt, 0, %1% start /wait "" "SSF.exe" %daemon% -unmount dt, 0 Nicked from this thread: https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/emulation/trouble-with-yabause-through-launch-box I'm now wondering whether we can use a similar script to launch cue/bin files in nullDC/Demul... (https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/troubleshooting/how-do-i-set-up-dreamcast-to-work-seamlessly-in-launchbox-windows-10-x64#p6363)
  22. Thanks for the link, but I'm getting an install error on my machine for some reason - have also tried a few others - maybe earlier versions aren't compatible with Windows 10 :(
  23. DOS76 said I was messing around with the additional app setting I had it mounting the disk but not un-mounting them Daemon Tools offered me the latest version after upgrading it no longer works it seems they have changed the interface it no longer lists a drive number it just allows quick mounts. Whatever is new breaks the previous stuff so I advise anyone from upgrading that is relying on it to run your Saturn stuff. You can quick mount the iso's and then run SSF and this works but it doesn't do anything for LaunchBox. EDIT: I grabbed the older version from TPB and reinstalled it then using the additional apps method I got it working I'm using an unmount cd-rom app after the app closes using -unmount_all and it is working great. Which version did you grab?
  24. Thanks for the guide @ps4isthefuture, I've changed the relevant paths to 'C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTAgent.exe' (I've also tried DTLite.exe) - but it's not mounting the image for some reason, do you have any idea what the problem could be? I only have the free version, could that be the issue? I also tried the codes suggested here: https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/emulation/trouble-with-yabause-through-launch-box, but have yet to get an image to mount through a bat file :( *EDIT* Fixed by reverting back to a previous version of Daemon Tools (https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/features/using-daemon-tools-through-launchbox/page-2#p6542)
  25. Lame. I appreciate the info though. The reply on that thread said that the reason they can't be run is because they're not self-booting - what if you ran something like Utopia beforehand? What about if you set LaunchBox to automatically mount the cue/bin file before loading the emulator/game and this dismount when you exit the game (ESC)? Half my collection's cue/bin files, so it'd be really great to figure out a solution! *EDIT* http://www.emutalk.net/threads/55763-Is-disc-(image)-swapping-possible-Booting-cue-bin-files
