    Is there a way to CTRL + click multiple genres or categories in the sidebar?

    Not sure if this is a feature but when I have my genres open in Launchbox I've always wanted to highlight 2 at once and I wasn't sure if it was a setting or if it just isn't a feature. Like for instance if I wanted to highlight both beat 'em ups and shoot 'em ups and have them all appear, is that possible? Or rather, without nesting playlists, is there a way to highlight, for instance, Nintendo Entertainment system AND SNES at the same time, so they all appear. Or do I have to just make playlists at this point?

    Would you pay for a plugin?

    RIGHT? It would be so convenient. Especially for the most obscure games that don't scrape. Or indie games that aren't even on steam or another launcher. If we could see that its missing media, hit a button, then we can see everything we need for it right there. Or if we're just trying to find something out about the game, that's why I loved wiki peek when it worked (I even asked that dude to make this, and he hasn't answered me in a year.) It didn't work for everything though. I think with a search engine we will probably get access to every game and its info.

     

    Maybe Jason Carr can put up a plugin bounty on the forums?!!

    Hey quick addition to this, if you already have hotkeys set up in Retroarch (I have my hotkey button as "select", then a number of commands for opening the menu, resetting the game, all kinds of things), So my save-state button in the pause menu wasn't working because I needed it to hit Control+F2 to save and Control+F4 to load state.  First, I was just holding control while pressing save, but then I found this thread....

    So what I did was go into manage emulators, chose Retroarch, chose pause screen, then chose "Save States" and changed it to this:

    ; Retroarch saves state with F2 key by default
    Send {Control down}
    Send {F2 down}
    Sleep 50
    Send {F2 up}
    Send {Control up}


    and then I chose "Load State" and changed it to this:

    ; Retroarch saves state with F2 key by default
    Send {Control down}
    Send {F2 down}
    Sleep 50
    Send {F2 up}
    Send {Control up}

    Then I hit OK and everything seems to be working from the pause screen now. Hope that helps if anyone else is running into this problem.

    totally understandable. at the end of the day i dont use android devices THAT much for gaming. and when i do there are already a few others that do the job. I actually find myself using Parsec to just stream big box from the PC. (which works perfectly for me) I definitely would rather 100% of attention going to the desktop version.

    i dont think this is possible. in fact i asked a game developer to help me get the retroarch shaders to work in a game i was making and they arent very compatible with other things from what he told me. That or he didnt want to deal with helping me with it.

    These are a few files that I either cropped from box art, or changed the colors to be lighter (as I use a dark BigBox background). Most of these either don't have clear logos in the database or the games themselves aren't in the database.

    some were done kind of quickly and lazily but they're decent for the most part.

    I use the Mr Retrolux big box theme which has a dark bg so these work well with that wheel

    (Many of these games are either virtual reality or small indie games ive downloaded over the years)

    OK i screwed up and need help with backups

    so i synced the folder to google drive to make sure it catches every file. that was an easy fix.  I am going to try to make a plugin schedules a copy of the whole folder to another. so a backup of the backup. probably can do that with a batch file and windows scheduler. idk well see. im kind of shit at coding so yeah

    i recently ran a clean up media but its safe to assume that wouldnt touch that folder. idk why im limited to only 5 for most platforms. it says 25 for the main xml file in that setting. but im not seeing anything that would account for the amount all of the platforms and other xml backups.
