  1. I notcied in Launchbox\CORE there is a viddeos folder jampacked with videos, but also the normalk Launchbox videos folder also ful of videos. I think thye are all dupees eating tons of space? Can I safely delete one of these sets of videos? What is going on here?
  2. I have a milion questions. I did export some games and install and register license, all good. Did it automagically grade android cores for imported stuff? Do I need to manya ually open retroarch on android first and donwload cores there to get stuff working? HOw will launchbox know what core to load gamess from? On windows it is all setup inlaunchbox but android cores will be different.
  3. Should it work fine on Meta Quest 3 or wil it be borked on quest 3?
  4. Hey there! I have the solutions ot all yoru problems, this is all normal behavior. A bit confusing but once u learn it is easy. Default settings, press the right CTRL key to swap the c64 joystick from port 1 to port 2 and back. C64 games work on either port 1 or port 2, seemingly random,. more on port 2, but still some o port 1, so u gotta try both if unsure. Also, if you 3ant to use thje ful real c64 keyboard, press SCROLL LOCK KEY. This will toggle the keyboard into real c64 keyboard mode, the shortcut hotkeys will not work inthis mode, so if u want to swap joy ports, u gotta toggle of scroll lock, then press right ctrl key, then tap scroll lock again. Spacebar wil fast forward, great for load time, but againb, only if scroll lock is off when u press it. My advice I am using with RETRO:PAD default setting, using Xinput compatible pad, the 8bitdo SN30 pro 2. There is a project out there too now where people are ocnveerting tap and d64 images to CRT, cart files, and easyflash files, if u can find these, then they all load instantly, no need to type or wait, bloody awesome. There are around 2000 or so fuly converted games so far if u can fine the full set, not to hard with a bit of searching.
  5. I will do more tests for sure, I reported immediately as i noticed the issue. I will try default theme than another different theme. If needed, I will try it on an SSD too rather than mechaniclal hard drives if necessary, and do a full report back. It is not somehtjing that hinders the gaming experience much, just a lisle something I would like to help contribute and fix if it is something that others are dealing with too. Stay tuined!
  6. Not a deal breaking issue, but annoying, I can't be the only one, I will describe. Using theme Airy 1.4. not sure if issue hapens with other themes yet, but I think it did. Once a game is lcicked, and I close the game to load a new one, retroarch, if I double click a different game right away it will load the game I just quit. Happens every time. but If I click the new game ONCE, then wait a bit for the media on the right to load and display, then I can double click after that and the new game will load. It looks to me like launchbox is not switching to the new game quickly enough, it is pausing to fetch and display media, then it switches the selected game, in a wrong order. If this is the case, launchbox should switch the selected game, then load media. Just my educated idea of what ig going on. I did not test on SSD, it is a raid1 mirror 2 enterprise drives 14 TB each, thinking mayhbe it happens only on slower hard drives but not noticed by the team using it on ssds all the time. If the team looks into this I would love to hear if they can reproduce this and also what is the cause, and hopefully then some fix if it is on your end.
  7. OK There we go! It did move but not enough to notice as Imoved it up and dopwn a little. Now I did alot and it works perfect. lol I had this issue for years, very hapy to know. I kn ew nothng was broken it must be something I do wrong.
  8. Logitech mouse, logitech software is installed for it
  9. Default fresh install, downlaoded instaled last week. Registered, not using big box
  10. Thanks for advice, but nothing. I hover over, wheel, nothing. Click it then wheel, noting.
  11. That is super interesting and now I fully understand why. I had not thought of this issue. I fuly understand what the sets mean, and mine is merged. I wil move the entire set into Launchbox folder first and import it there and not worry about wasted space. 60 Gb set not a big deal. Thanks guys.
  12. Maybe I must be stupid, but this issue for years drive m e crazy and I finally have to ask how to do it.. At the bottom of Launchbox there is a circle labeled VOLUME. When I click a game the preview movie is always playing drives me nuts. I click the volume circle and nothing hapens, I try to trag around the circle, drag up or down, click all over it, nothing happens. how do I work the volumecircle thing for vide previews? There is no simple volume slider, it is a weird circle thing. Am I stupid, i search the forum and internet and no one esle asking about this but I have had this issue forever, many years never could get it to work.
  13. I did the full mame set import but here was not the option to copy the roms or leave them there. I want to copy them because I want launchbox portable. Also I do not want to swap the folder in settings and copy all the roms as that is wasted space, I want the importer to import only the roms i chose, I know I could wipe it and copy the roms into launchbox first before import, but then all the unimported roms will be i nthere wasting space. IS something wrong here, it seems like a bug not asking where to put the roms, or a huge oversight somehow, as regular rom import always asks about leave roms there or copy to. Any help or ideas appreciated!
  14. Thanks alot for everything guys! The new platform did show up, since I did not see the games move I did not notice the Super Famicom platform did show up, and the games are there! Awesome.
  15. Thansk for tips. I tried bulk adding, and I changed the platform to SUper Famicom but it did not show up as a new platform, they are all still in the Snes list, so I still don't have them in one group. How could I add my own platform to the program before I add them, so they will show up on their own separate list like Dos76 was saying? Sry I am pretty new to the program still.
  16. I'd like to load my Japanese roms into a separate list from the main SNES list, so ideally one called "Super Famicom" but this is not an option when I import roms. Is this possible I can manually do it somehow? I have only a handful of Japanese roms, lots of translated ones, and it will be easier to find if not in the main huge list. I saw there was Nintendo NES and Nintendo Famicom as 2 options to have, but none for Super Famicom!
  17. There ya go! That's what I was saying. I am very very good at following instructions and I always look for the right place to post things, but when the instructions are wrong I get frazzled!
  18. SentaiBrad said duhmez said Perfect there it is! I wil then humbly request that the part whrre it says click the "send feedback" link be fixed to say "feature request" ! For the rest of the people! Where does it show this? It could say that anywhere. It used to be called Send Feedback and everyone missed it. Right there in the forum where it says "Features" Right below the word features it says this quoe I said about the send feedback button. And if u click features forum it is right there in bold at the top of the forum, but nowhere is an actual link to "send feedback" anywhere
  19. Perfect there it is! I wil then humbly request that the part whrre it says click the "send feedback" link be fixed to say "feature request" ! For the rest of the people!
  20. It says to click the send feedback button but I searched the entrie page for the words send feedback and there was no link to send feedback. I want to post in the right place.
  21. I never used retroarch or launchbox, I am jumping into both at same time so a couple questions. Ioaded some cores into retroarch and that was all. After importing roms to test I played a a game and the controller worked. Xbox 360 pad. But I did not configure my controls in retroarch ever. I tested both TG 16 and Super NIntendo and the controller magically worked with the right buttons. So the Question is did launchbox somehow magically configure my controller for me into retroarch, or does retroarch automatically have xbox 360 controller presets and does not require gamepad configuration for at least some of the cores? I watched a tutorial of retroarch online and it showed that I was supposed to configure the gamepad in retroarch, which I did not do.
  22. SentaiBrad said For example, compressing, uncompromising, re-compressing over and over will eventually destroy the data. So data can be damaged during compression or uncompression, even if it happens once. This does not happen with NTFS compression. When you open an NTFS compressed file, the compressed data structure is not touched or modified in any way. What windows will do is basically under the hood it decompresses and makes a new raw copy tat is seamless and invisible to the user and it is that data tat is accessed. So if windows would somehow scramble upon accessing the compressed file, it would be fine the next time as the compressed data remains on the hard drive totally unmodified. The actual downsides are obviously slightly lower access times, and it makes the hard drive work harder as it makes the new invisible raw copy.
  23. SentaiBrad said My Wii is using wbfs compressed games personally, im not going to double compress them. I'm not a giant fan of compressing the data unless it is a CSO or a special made container like WBFS. I can't imagine that anything else is optimized to stream the data from the rom to the emulator. Small and easy systems are honestly probably no problem, but the space saved is going to be super minimal. Anything of note where size can be saved, if any, is going to potentially have problems playing. I know, for example, that there is a handful of games that can't be put in to a CSO for this exact reason. Though if it is working im glad. Just know that you might run in to some issues with games, and if you do remember that you compressed it and that this could be causing the issues. Uncompressing it may not fix it either. I would agree with you and not comresss them either. I am actually using a WBFS file format on my hard drive, and my backup of isos are all raw (4.5 GB each) so I compressed them using ntfs just for storage and backup, not for live use. I don't emulate my Wii< I play on a real Wii BTW) I bet you compressing PS1 and Saturn and Sega CD would save alot of space this way though, unlike roms which are msall anyway.
  24. Thank you so much! Finally that did it! O never unchecked it, it was unchecked by a default install. Awesome!
