  1. So this is my first stab at commodore 64 emulation... (i'm posting this here as the vice forums seem dead) I noticed vice was the recommended emu with LB so I tried that first. I've been struggling trying to setup the joystick configuration; input is not detected at all even though the controller is (i think?) recognized. I'm using a (wireless) DS4 with ds4windows. Previously set it up with almost every other system's emulator perfectly. I tested the keyboard input and that works fine. But if I select PC joystick #0 or #1 (guessing these are my 2 controllers?), and click on 'configure keyset' A or B, no input is detected. I've tried closing down the emu, stopping/starting controller and restarting vice. I've tried a wired connection. Nothing. Now, the weird thing is I then downloaded CC64 and seemed to have the same problems with input. So i'm guessing this is a initial setup issue? Any suggestions? Thank you :)
  2. just to clarify: this no longer works because the ini folder is in documents, correct? better to go this route below? https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/troubleshooting/how-to-save-different-settings-for-each-game-with-launchbox-pcsx2#p12281
  3. thanks @sentaibrad and @lordmonkus all fixed. You were right brad, it was the bios. I copied the prior bios from my epsxe bios directory, and made the changes, and that's when I was getting the blank screen. All is fixed due to monkus's link. Cheers.
  4. Hi guys, I've been trying to setup mednafen as a backup for games that dont work with epsxe. In retroarch, I installed the core, re-inputted the system folder path, and made sure the bios files are all lower case (i think I read somewhere they were case-sensitive). So...when I try to launch a .cue from within retroarch, mednafen loads but just shows a black screen. It has fps counter and menu, but the game didn't load. I replicated this with about 6 other games. I also tried from within launchbox, as well as just through retroarch directly, with the same result. Any advice on where to look? Thank you!
  5. @jason carr @sentaibrad Seemed to work that way (windows made me rebuild index first; one of those days). Still confused as hell why I can't folder import though - can't think of any bases that weren't covered. I would do a full reinstall if I hadn't already spent so many hours on other system setups in launchbox. Thank you guys for the help.
  6. @jason carr Not sure if we are speaking the same thing, but just to be sure - system meaning platform. to clarify, if i do a bulk folder import on, say, dreamcast, it works fine - while on saturn it doesn't. My tree is like this: ...saturn/games/individual game folders I could go through individually and add the 80 or so games I have, as that seems to work. But it is strange that the folder import is not detecting them since I did a big delete. Is there a way I can 'add files' and bulk do it without having to go folder to folder? Thanks again
  7. Hi @Jason Carr I did go through the XML and no saturn games listed. Hi @SentaiBrad I just moved the main XML file to a temp folder and reopened a clean launchbox. The error still persists. I'm not quite sure what this means. Thanks
  8. So ran into this bug which has had my head banging against the desk for a few hours. I will walk through the process I took first: 1. Under saturn, I highlighted and deleted all but 2 games, as I wanted to do a bulk edit of the source file and couldn't see a way to do so without re-adding the games. 2. When I click to import my folder with all my saturn games, even with 'force duplicate' checked just in-case, the 'ready to import' screen shows nothing. It literally shows just 'name' and 'file', and a grey area. 3. I figured it was due to other associations of some sort, so I deleted the remaining games, deleted the saturn emulators, deleted the saturn images and manually deleted the saturn metadata for all games (as they were still there). I put 'none' on the platform side and it had no games listed there, as well as checking listview for any games not under any system. 4. I closed down and re-opened launchbox and attempted the bulk import again, and have the same result with it not detecting any of my saturn games. I attempted changing emulators and that didn't help. 5. Now here is the weird part. If I individually add a game file, it detects and adds it fine. But if I select the folder import, it doesn't. Just incase, I re-tested the bulk folder import on another system and it works fine - so confirmed this is due to the previous delete of the sega saturn games. Any ideas?
  9. appreciate the advice. I was hesitant about retroarch as i quickly dabbled in it but found a lot of the settings/setup seemed very time-consuming/confusing for me to learn (felt like linux to me), but I will have another look :)
  10. Hi guys, Love the program; thanks for the time and effort. As i'm going down the list and configuring emulators, I can't figure this one out. My google-fu failed me and I can't find a list of full-screen hotkeys (or where to change them) in fusion. My goal is to get to the menu bar when in full screen. I can't seem to find a hotkey that does this. Now, when I press escape, it goes to windowed mode where I can access the menu bar, and that's fine. However, if I open fusion inside of launchbox and press ESC when in fullscreen, it exits the emulator completely, which is not what I want. I checked the emulator settings inside launchbox and there is no script at all under autohotkey, so I'm a bit confused on this one - I'm not really sure why it exits completely only when launched via launchbox. Thank you!
