  1. You guys all rock so much thank you all for your help. If you need anything send me a p.m. cheers
  2. Here are two more screens of a different idea.
  3. The request was for someone to do a project with me i have time off work to make missing clear logos for launchbox. I have been upping stuff like mad putting in 14+ hour days doing screenshots covers and clear logos. The other was a request for art that i didn't have so if someone had the logo made or the art i could use that. I'm sorry to have upset you. You can delete my posts if need be.
  4. SentaiBrad said djweevil, if you could keep the requests to one thread I would appreciate it. Spamming new threads isn't going to help. This is a old post from may I wasn't spamming anything. It just dawned on me you deleted my request for the project help to create the clear logos. Not sure why that was especially since it was posted in the monkeys section. Maybe create a request thread for things.
  5. I have posted over 400 updates to the db but they just sit there for some reason. Are there particular ones you are looking for maybe I can help you track them down.
  6. I am looking for the playstation 2 siren 2 galerians ash the sega 32x a nice zaxxon motherbase 2000 logo Thank you all very much for your time and have an awesome day. Below I am filling my own requests and removing them from up top. someone can up these to the db if they want
  7. where do i upload them too ?
  8. Here are 2 screenshots for each Sega 32x Game. One title screen, One gameplay. I have been doing screenshots of all the roms in my collection. To make it match your collection you may have to rename the files\folders. The screenshots are 640x480 and in .PNG format. To make them work make sure the folders are named the same as your roms, Then i just put all the folders into the Screenshot - Game Title folder they are named 01 02 to make them go title screen then action. If anyone finds this helpful let me know as I have done a lot of other systems as well. The main reason for this was 1 the file size at several mb of for each screen each was a waste of space. 2 the screenshots are a consistent resolution 3 They are in folders named the the same as the roms to greatly reduce clutter and make replacing them easier. 4 I figure it makes more sense to have 50 folders over 5000 images. http://www.mediafire.com/download/34ktipglr2z9s2r/Sega_32X_-_Screenshots.zip Cheers all b safe.
  9. What do i use to scrape capcom cps3 thank you.
  10. Confirmed disc swap working using mednafen psx retroarch using pbp files. Confirmed PSX cheats are there but they are not implemented yet.
  11. It sounds like the kick is fizzling out.
  12. I sent both of you a p.m. I hope you don't mind cheers :)
  13. Sounds excellent. Good job. On my speakers though one of the sounds is clipping the rest. Ie the volume fluctuates. Unless you did that on purpose. Oh and your bells song is awesome as hell.
  14. SentaiBrad said Yes PBP's are supported and work flawlessly, at least playing and launching wise. I haven't specifically tested out disc switching yet. It's supposed to auto-switch, but if I recall RA also has a hotkey for disc switching, so I would also assume that would work if so. I've tested the switching using metal gear solid i made it the wrong disc on purpose and tried to start a game make sure to save state before you attempt it you must click eject or something then switch the disc number with the arrow keys. It's pretty straight forward just imagine you are swapping discs you eject teh tray put in new disk and close the tray. then resume your game. I have been trying all day long to get cheats to work. Can any of you confirm them working or not. I have tried armor core and it didn't work. I have working gameshark cheats for my version of metal gear solid i can use them on both the gameshark and epsxe. I click update changes or whatever but have not been able to get any cheats happening i can toggle them on and off too using the u y keys.
  15. OK So here is my temp work around. if you launch epsxe with the gui ie delete the command parameters. it launches the gui. Inside the file menu of epsxe there is an option called open gamelist. Show this the path to your isos etc. it is super fast to navigate with a mouse but is probably a no go with a controller. refresh your list it takes a second then after that if you want click grab covers. I can browse the hundreds of psx games in a second when you click the game it launches from the list with the gui. I can keep my art etc and the gui. Maybe there is a command switch to load the games from gamelist with the gui I am not sure.
  16. Zombeaver said @djweevil The problem is that in order to get ePSXe to launch a specific game immediately upon launch (i.e. in order to launch a game in your LB library), it needs to be using the -nogui command line parameter - it is impossible to get to the gui at that point. Without that command line parameter, any game you launch will simply load up the ePSXe gui and not actually launch a specific game. If you're really stuck on using ePSXe and you have to have access to the gui, you'd have to remove the -nogui command line parameter, at which point all your game entries would effectively just serve as a shortcut to launch ePSXe itself (which obviously isn't particularly useful). My suggestion would be to look into Retroarch / Mednafen PSX. As a recovering ePSXe user, I can tell you it's far far superior. It's highly accurate and as a bonus you get access to all the great features of Retroarch. Does Retroarch / Mednafen PSX happen to support pbp files and will it allow me to switch to the next disc inside that file. I tried to also use another psx emu that supported the file type but it cannot see the other discs inside the file. Also does it support save states and cheats ? Sorry I've answered my own question it does not currently support that file type.
  17. SentaiBrad said It's true what systems can become lean and mean, but someone else's solution isn't necessarily wrong @Imgema, we don't know either users daily needs. In a perfect world, people would have decent machines no more than 2-3 years old then most problems would be fixed. What someone needs out of a machine and what they have / can afford are very different. Let's also keep in mind raw speed and numbers don't amount to anything. A less powerful later model can put to shame an older model that is "twice as fast", at least when you're looking at numbers. Generally, users have a lot going at Start up, and have AV software or active monitoring software going on that generally reduces performance. My general recommendation in this position is to get Advanced System Care, Malwarebytes Antimalware and use them. ASC's first page on scanning is awesome, I use 3 of the options almost daily (I can get screenshots if anyone is curious), that cleans up the machine, and other check boxes I use every so often. Driver Booster in the Tool Box is amazing, so is the Start up manager. The Uninstaller also helps when removing things to get rid of crap that the programs leave behind. If the install of Windows is just older, that + older hardware + software may just make a slower experience. Hey Brad another awesome tool is Privazer it is free and will clear a lot of junk as well as your old registry streams. I fully agree with you on malwarebytes it has saved me countless times in the past. There are also special profiles incase you are running a ssd or a regular hdd. I would recommend using it about once every two weeks or so maybe once a month with an ssd drive to eliminate unneeded wear and tear on it. You can find the program here. Also it gets updates all of the time. http://privazer.com/
  18. . You are doing something wrong. No way you can max out 8GB that easily. I use Launchbox on a Core 2 Duo with 4GB RAM and Windows 7 64bit. Max usage is a little less than 2GB while using LaunchBox, with a 7000 games/box art collection (1GB Ram cache selected in the options). Launchbox itself uses less than 700MB Ram there. On the newer machine (i5, 16GB) i'm struggling to make Launchbox use more than 1GB RAM itself, after setting Ram cache to 2GB. You might want to clean up your systems a bit. Sorry I must not have been clear I meant maxed as in the most amount of ram supported by his motherboard.
  19. You don't say which os you are running but if you are using vista 7 8 or 10 then the majority of your 4gb of ram will be eaten up by default. I would suggest turning off visual services to free up resources if this machine is dedicated as a launch box machine. My brother is running a 3.2 ghz core 2 duo. I installed a ssd drive and his motherboard board actually supported 8 gb of ram so we maxed his ram out the machine is nice and fast even running windows 10. The reason i suggest an ssd is if you do decide to upgrade your pc in the future you can carry it over to the new machine. Just use the ssd to install your emulators and keep the larger files ie roms on a bigger standard hard drive. Also on a plus note you never need to defragment an ssd if you do you can screw it up. If you get a new vid card be advised that on older hardware a new video card will not run at its full pci express rating ie you may have a 1x or 2x. Check your mother board and see what the max is for ram. Then check your local cregs list kajijii or whatever to see if you can find a machine to cannibalize. If the machine is offline ie not hooked to the internet you can save on a lot of resources by removing things like antivirus etc. Another option if you are not concerned with the machine possibly dying you can research overclocking it a few hundred mhz this will make the machine more peppy at the risk of system instability and heat issues. As far as upgrading do not dump a lot of cash into your current system you will find it more cost effective to build a new machine over time.
  20. Thank you to both of you for your clear explanations. I appreciate your guys time as per usual cheers :)
  21. I have my emulators setup to exit to the emulator. IE so I can use all of it's features. Cheats saves etc. By default the escape key made it so you could change settings in the emulator then resume the game. I see when you hit escape the psx emu closes now. How can I make it escape back to itself so i can access it's settings during gameplay ? I would also like to add that I have convereted all my psx isos to pbp files to save hdd space. So to switch to the next disc i need to use the gui.
  22. kerszr said I have no coding knowledge so it has just been trial and error for me too. There is a thread just launched today by @sentaibrad that will have all the master launch box gurus devolping themes togetner. I think as time goes on we will be more able to learn from eachother but for the meantime i suggest you just dick around in the software. I really want to add assest. I reeally want to add a background for the text so it is easier to see from my couch. What text are you referring to? I can try to help you send me a screenshot of the view you use.
  23. I've been messing with this in notepad for a few hours from what i can tell you cannot really move anything around or change fonts. or the text spacing. What exactly can you do? I have only managed to squish and skew a few things. How do i show more than one screenshot? How can I add 2 screenshots and a video ? I wish this thing had a visual drag and drop editor with a snap to grid feature. If anyone finds out how to change things in this perhaps we can post a guide as we go along. I see when I post on the forums that hundreds of people read the posts but no one types anything.
  24. I noticed some youtube videos and some guy had his text moved into different order. the right panel in normal launchbox mode not big box he had his screen shots up top and the info below can you tell me what i need to do to make this happen. Thank you.
  25. it was not able to find the game i had to pick it from the list is all. I was just worried others may have problems with games like that.
