This is a weird one, just checked and it seems to be working fine. I show about 80 users currently logged in through launchbox. I'll keep digging and please feel free to put a support ticket in at emumovies since this is not a global issue. It's possible there is just an outage somewhere in between the server and the end user. Edit did some further testing from home, added a system in launchbox, set EmuMovies as the only media to scrape, and everything worked just fine. So please if you are for some reason having an issue please submit a ticket and we will try to see what the problem you are having is.

It’s been in private alpha testing for a couple of years now. Everything kept very hush hush. I’ve had it running on my cab for months. They just dropped a HyperTheme demo and there is a full demonstration livestream happening right before the launch. Gonna be an interesting weekend, that’s for sure. HyperSpin is what you expect for a 2025 version, everything else (HyperHQ/HyperTheme) is a bit shocking.

This is great info, never knew that. We added music 2 weeks ago to mame and it was submitted using launchbox naming vs rom naming. Had no idea that would break the integration. Now that I realize whats happening that makes sense. We will pull down the music category for MAME on the LaunchBox server until such time we can get those files renamed.

I’ll run this up the flagpole, I don’t think it’s on the emumovies side as all the files are present and it’s only mame being affected.

Hey thanks ☺️ It’s possible there is a glitch in how LB is scraping, I have no control over that, but it’s my understanding that it matches a few ways and rom names are one of them. So I would just be wildly guessing as to what the issue is there. I won’t see my test rig until Monday, going to the CAX game show in Santa Clara.

We haven’t been getting any error reports besides this. All files are present but I won’t lay eyes on my launchbox install until Monday, so I cannot test myself. Have you tried going into your global launchbox settings and verified that all video formats are selected for emumovies?

@Shad8 iI will take a quick stab at this without knowing your exact details. If I get this wrong please submit a support ticket over at EmuMovies and we can investigate further. If I am reading this right you are getting some videos but many are missing. The only way I can see this happening is if you had HD as the only video format selected. We do not as yet have a full HD set but in launchbox if you select HD and HQ it will grab HQ videos when HD is not present. If that’s not it please send in a support ticket and we can check if there is anything going on with your account. @JoeViking245 i also did a double check on outrun. And the files are all present. Not sure if there is a glitch in the lb db or something. But videos can also be grabbed individually from the FTP if needed. I did do a full database cache rebuild in case that was the issue.

There has been some work on ps4. Nothing released yet as I believe we are waiting on an emulator. All PS4 caps were done using a jailbroken ps4 pro. So hopefully when emulation matures we are ready for it.

Today we dropped some new video snaps for the Nintendo Switch. The set is now at 3,520 videos covering hopefully most of what people need. There is an almost unlimited amount of games (shovelware) for this system. I think the total is now somewhere north of 16,000 games in the library. So here is what we are asking, if you are still missing some videos for installed games or find an error, please let us know in the EmuMovies request section on the forums and we can prioritize those videos on the next round. Happy Easter Everyone! We have an update for the Nintendo 3DS today, version 1.1. 73 new video snaps havce been added bringing the full set to 583 video snaps. Big thanks to @RLBradders26 and @drewby for helping out with the recordings. Video Snaps are currently available via EmuMovies Sync and the EmuMovies FTPs. Videos are in HD and HQ versions. Our next release has been cooking for awhile, we are working towards are first big Nintendo Switch video snaps release. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! Wanted to take a minute and share the progress on this years big project. Today I uploaded another 250 videos and we are now over the 80% mark. As it currently stands we have recorded and edited 1683/2048 Video Snaps and should finish in Q1 2024. To make this set the team here used 2 PS3's to capture cards. I posted this in the Game Media section but it is probably better to be here. Over the last couple of months we have been working on making the EmuMovies sync implementation faster in LaunchBox. We have finally launched these changes and users should experience a 5 to 10 times faster download speed when scraping within launchbox. We have also addressed some other minor bugs and hopefully you will have a much better experience when populating media. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Happy retrogaming!

Hey all, Been working on speeding up the EmuMovies integration within Launchbox specifically, though this does affect any other implementations. Users should notice on average a 5-10x improvement. Looking for some testers to beat on this a bit and make sure it holds. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. We also tried to address some other lingering bugs.

Update for the EmuMovies MAME video snap set today gives us 490 new video snaps bringing the set into compliance with MAME .236. I can't thank @joe35carenough for auditing the set so we could get these done for everyone. We have a lot more of these to do as they are super clean. Recording at 4k with our newest editing guidelines really makes me want to redo the whole set. We have about 4 systems in development at the moment but eventually we will get a complete HD set out for everyone. In the meantime this fill a bunch of gaps and Joe has already found more for us to record.
